Disciple of Prayer
I posted on this site in April 2013 asking for prayer after I had a pacemaker put in. Well a lot has happened since then. In December of 2014 I was hospitalized and three days into my stay I was in a code blue and put on ventilator. I was sent home after 11 days with not much hope from the doctors but lots of hope from Jesus. A few days later I was back in the hospital and finally got a angiogram cause I was having kidney and breathing issues from my congestive heart failure. After the angio gram the doctor told me there was nothing they could do to help. I was so disappointed, but God had a plan. One doctor told me it is what it is. You are too healthy for a heart transplant and there are many people waiting for a heart who are sicker than you. The doctor's decided to upgrade my pacemaker and sent me to LA for a procedure on February 20. I got to the hospital and the doctor said we can't do this and admitted me. You are in no condition for this procedure. A couple days later a doctor in charge of heart transplant came in my room and said your file came across my desk and I don't look at everyone's file but I looked at yours. You are a candidate for a heart transplant. I began a battery of tests to be cleared for placement on the transplant list. On March 6 after taking four tests the last being a colonoscopy I was on the phone with my wife and passed out at 1030 pm. I had to be shocked and given chest compressions. I woke in what seemed like a vivid dream and all these people were holding me down I fought to get up until I finally gave it to God and he gave me peace and I woke instantly. I was lucid and awake - a miracle. Two days later I was transferred to a the best hospital on the west coast for a heart transplant. I received my new heart on April 25 and was back to work November 2. I have no doubt God ordered my steps and he healed me again. I had Hodgkins disease when I was 17 and the radiation that cured the cancer damaged my heart. God is still a healer and answers prayer. Don't ever lose hope and stand on his word. Call on the elders of your church to pray as directed by God. I hope this encourages someone to never lose faith.
