Over a year ago my family was at Wal Mart and we left our two pit bulls tied up in the back of our truck..Judah and Storm went everywhere with us, they loved to "go for a ride"...when they heard those words, they would start jumping all around, twirling in circles.
As we were in the store we heard our license plate announced over the intercom and we ran outside because we knew the dogs were in the back of the truck...Our truck that was parked in the far back away from other cars. When I say our dogs went everywhere with us they went on vacation with us also and that is how they traveled in the back of our truck, we drove from Massachusetts to Alabama to visit my children no matter where we stopped along the way they were in the back of the truck, trained to stay until we came back...they were awesome...
I talk about Judah and Storm in past tense because we had to put them down when we lost our home to foreclosure...we could never give our dogs away we spoil them too much and pit bulls don't like change too much...we had had them for 8 and 6 years they were mother and daughter...
Well getting back to Walmart...this man in a convertible decided to sit by my car for 15 minutes with his top down and he had a little white fluffy dog in his car. He continued to the back of my truck and parked their at the end of the 15 minutes and allowed his dog to continue to antagonize my dogs, where my dogs were fighting and barking and literally going crazy, well when he pulled to the back of the truck Storm had had enough and jumped out of my truck and was hanging by her neck dangling from the truck. She somehow got her self out of the leash and jumped into his car going after his dog...meanwhile Judah jumped out and was hanging by her neck, when a customer that was going to her car saw the whole situation and ran to save Judah and opened the mans car passenger door and grabbed Storm and pulled her out of his car..so much for vicious dogs....she then tied up my dogs and stood with them till we got there, petting them and calming them down.....the man still sitting there when she saved Judah and after she pulled Storm out of his car she became irate ... she began to confront the man and he drove away to call the police that my dogs attacked his dog in the parking lot...he told the police he was driving by and my dog jumped into his car. The witness was beside herself and told the police the story...they thought we knew her because she was so determined to stick up for us..the police were rude, seeing pit bulls.....she gave her testimony to the police and they advised us we didn't need any information from her it would all be in the police report that we could get...little did we know you have to get a court order to get that information about peoples names, so we had no way to get in touch with her...in order to get witness names, and there were several who said they would go to court for us because it was so wrong what this man was doing... you have to get a court order to get info from the police station...we decided to get a court order for Walmart for the video tape of the parking lot per suggestion of the head of security who watched the video...her statement to us was "get the video".
So we got a court order for the video. On the day of the court date, sure enough Walmart sent the video via their person from the store that worked in security...little did we know this man was a huge part of God's glory...he was new and just got the job.
Well when we tried to play the video we could not because of some program they have at WalMart so the court continued the day and told us to get the court orders for the police and the witness...we were in forclosure and we just didn't have money to do this..As the date came closer and closer I was looking for all kinds of excuses to postpone this jury trial...because we wanted a jury trial, I am not paying this person a dime...knowing we had the video...but it didn't work...and we still hadn't seen what was on it, hopefully it is all the head of security said it was..
So for the last 6 months I have called Walmart every week trying to get this video fixed and now this lady from security, (Donna) was not calling me back, we were leaving messages and speaking directly to Derek (the guy who went to bring the video to the court). He is even saying he doesn't know why she is not calling us back. Well I called corporate office and told them my trouble and they told me to go to the store and talk to Derek and have him call them (corporate) when I got there...well now we live 40 minutes from this particular Walmart because we moved. So I get to the store and he calls corporate and they tell me they don't know why he called there because there is nothing they can do...I couldn't talk to their legal department because I was not a lawyer...so I told them they were under court order and I wanted a letter saying all I did to try to get this video, and that his boss was not calling me back...(he told me she said she felt there was nothing else she could do) I told him you guys are under court order so one of you should come to testify what you saw on the video or write a letter stating what you saw so I can read it to the jury...and if they didn't and I lost this case it would be because they did not fulfill their part of this court order and I would bring charges against them. So he asked me if still pictures would work and he could write times and a small testimony of what happened...I told him I would take anything to bring to the jury....He was close to the end of his work day when I got there he had about an hour to go. He told me give me 5 minutes, well he took a little longer but came back with a working video...Praise God...that was yesterday at 3:45pm...today is the jury trial at 9:00am. God came through at the last minute so this could be seen by judge and jury. What we thought was impossible and we were ready to settle for less than...God said no Truth shall prevail.
We watched the video last night for the first time...and it was more horrible than you could ever image...we are pressing charges for what he did not only to our dogs but the hurt he caused his own dog. His dog got bit and hurt and so did his hand from trying to pull his dog away from my dog...this man literally sat side by side with my truck for 15 minutes then proceeded to the back of the truck and sat there torturing my dogs. All I can say is when they see this video he is surely a fool.
God is forever faithful and just and He does have our back.....how I see it today is HIS timing is perfect...He wanted the jury to see and it makes our case to stand in Truth...My heart is so elated to this as this man was suing us for 15,000 dollars for suffering and pain along with his medical bills for him and his dog. I will update what happens today to this man who looks like he was looking for easy money...If I had still owned my house my homeowners would have paid him within months of the incident because we couldn't get the video to work....It has been a long wait...but those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings as eagles...so we soar above the arrows that Satan is forever trying to destroy us with....God bless and thank You Jesus for all You have done and may ALL this glory be to You in Jesus name...have your way Lord with this man in Jesus name...My husband is there as I write....he just called that the clerk from the court said they were trying to get this video themselves and could not...what's up with WalMart?
