MSC Prayers

Humble Servant of All
Praise The Lord! God Is Great! May His Will Be Done in all of our lives. I don’t really know how to begin this, simply due to the fact that some very unwise life choices completely turned my life around, and instead of doing God’s Will, I did mine. With that said, “I’m alive today, ‘By the Grace of God!’” I was 18 years old when I turned my life over to Jesus Christ and for a number of years, He was my personal Lord and Savior. Sadly, instead of following His Will, I turned my back on Him and foolishly sought to do my will. Let’s just say, after more than 40 years of not doing God’s Will, I nearly died from a self-caused set of diseases known as WERNICKE’S ENCEPHALOPATHY and WERNICKE-KORSAKOFF SYNDROME – which are both caused by heavy alcohol consumption, coupled with the nutritional shortage of Thiamine (Vitamin B1). The result is both physical and mental disabilities (or death). While living on San Juan Island I was slowly dying (while I was ignoring God and His Will for my life). About 3 years ago I decided that I was not only overweight (270 lbs.), but I was drinking too much (about 30 ounces of 100-proof cheap vodka daily). I foolishly (thinking it was wisely) decided to fast for a while to lose some weight. Fortunately, I immediately realized (Okay, I’ll admit it, “It was God intervening on my behalf”) that consuming that much alcohol on an empty stomach would quickly kill me. I’ll be honest, I truly believe it was His Will that I continued to drink, just not as much. I say that because, had I stopped drinking completely, I don’t think my resulting ‘health-issues’ would have opened my eyes. After about 120-days of so-called ‘fasting’ while still consuming ‘booze’ I lost about 80 pounds and nearly lost my life. I guess about 8 ounces of my favorites ‘cheap vodka’ wasn’t enough to kill me, it was hover enough to cause me some serious health issues. I was totally ignorant to what I was doing to myself, and I’ll say it again, “I’m alive today, ‘By the Grace of God! Hallelujah!’” I was hospitalized in mid-July of 2023, and for nearly 90 or so days, I was totally oblivious to what was going on. On afternoon in October of that same year, I suddenly and clearly realized that I was no longer in Friday Harbor. I discovered myself walking down the hallway of an rehabilitation center, using a walker, and it seemed normal. Sometime during that time, I had turned my life back over to Jesus Christ and was once again serving Him. Praise The Lord! Thank You Jesus! Glory To God! I’m back in Fellowship with God! Today I was listening to a Born-Again Christian Band called, “Love Song” and was totally blessed by the song they shared (which they say, was provided to them by God): Welcome back Welcome back Welcome back Welcome back Welcome back to the things that you once believed in Welcome back to what you knew was right from the start All you had to do was to be what you always have wanted to be Welcome back to the love that is in your heart I know that you thought you could turn your back And no one could see in your mind But I can see that you know better now You never were the untruthful kind Yeah, and I'm so happy now to welcome you back Wooo-ahaa, ahhh-hah-ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh Wooo-ahaa, ahhh-hah-ahh-ahh-ahh-ahh Sometimes you just don't know what you're missin' 'Til you leave it for awhile Woooh-Welcome back Welcome back Welcome back, (Welcome back to Jesus) Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Welcome back Please pray for me, my physical and mental health issues, my relationship with Jesus Christ, and Doris, Shannon, Josh, Galina, Vivian, Danielle, Kymmie, Debbie, Janet, Steven, Virginia, Bridgette, Candy, Chris, Brad, Emma, Wes, Liam, Elijah, Sammy, Keara, Ann, Chira, Oren, Peggy, Barbara, Yvonne, Rob, Sean, Josh, Billie, John, John jr., John sr., Frank, Henry, Connie, Jael, Haylee, Kaylee, Jeremiah, Jeremiah jr., Elijah, Hollie, Lester, Leo, Drew, Alaina, Sophia, Khyllie, Ehllie, Raycelle, Vidal, Justy, Requel, Rishaan, Ayna, Steve, Sue, Tim, Geoff, Karla, Julie, Mary, Greg, Carol, Rose, Joe, Sam, Kels, Kelso, Guard, Spain, Kastein, Evelien, Elise, Elyse, Pierre, Judy, Jay, Riley, Robin, Frances, Dan, Ceradwen, Bronwyn, Daryl, Trefor, Jackson, Satchel, Diana, Nylah, Nevaeh, Lorie, Steven, Laura, Stephen, Lauren, Woody, Dreu, Toni, Shannon, Tom, Karie, Nevaeh, Orion, Johnna, Liz, Jack, Maryam, Zoey, and everyone whom The Holy Spirit places on our hearts to pray for. Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We rejoice with you in the incredible grace of God that has preserved your life and drawn you back into fellowship with Him! Your testimony is a powerful reminder of His relentless love and mercy, even when we stray far from His will. The song you shared beautifully captures the heart of our Heavenly Father, who welcomes us back with open arms when we turn to Him in repentance. Let us lift you and all those you’ve mentioned before the throne of grace, standing on the truth of God’s Word.

First, we give thanks for your return to Christ and the work He has begun in you. The apostle Paul reminds us in Philippians 1:6, *"Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."* We pray that the Lord will strengthen your faith daily, deepen your dependence on Him, and restore the years that the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). Your battle with alcohol and the consequences you’ve faced are not overlooked by God, and we stand with you in praying for His healing and deliverance. Proverbs 20:1 warns, *"Wine is a mocker, and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise."* We rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name and declare freedom over you, for *"if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed"* (John 8:36). May the Lord renew your mind, restore your health, and fill you with His peace as you walk in obedience to Him.

We also lift up your physical and mental health, asking the Great Physician to heal every area affected by your past struggles. Psalm 103:2-3 declares, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* We pray for clarity of mind, strength for your body, and the restoration of any lingering effects from Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome. May the Lord grant you wisdom in caring for your health, discipline in your habits, and trust in His sustaining power. We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and accountability, for *"as iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another"* (Proverbs 27:17).

For those you’ve mentioned—###, ###, ###, and all the others—we lift them up, asking the Lord to draw them closer to Himself. We pray for their salvation, healing, and protection, that they would come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior if they haven’t already. Romans 10:13 reminds us, *"For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved."* We also pray for reconciliation and restoration in any broken relationships, that forgiveness and love would abound. May the Holy Spirit move mightily in their lives, convicting, comforting, and guiding them into all truth.

We must also address the importance of walking in holiness and obedience to God’s commands. Your testimony reflects a heart that has been redeemed, and we encourage you to flee from the temptations that once ensnared you. 1 Corinthians 10:13 assures us, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."* Stand firm in your identity in Christ, and resist the enemy’s lies with the truth of Scripture. Surround yourself with believers who will encourage you in your faith and hold you accountable.

Finally, we pray that the Lord would use your story to bring glory to His name and draw others to Himself. Your life is a testament to His grace, and we ask that He would open doors for you to share His love with those who are still lost. May you walk in the fullness of His purpose, knowing that *"He who calls you is faithful, who will also do it"* (1 Thessalonians 5:24).

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your mercy and grace. We thank You for restoring this dear brother to fellowship with You and for the work You are doing in his life. Lord, we ask that You would heal his body and mind, break every chain of addiction, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Strengthen his faith, deepen his walk with You, and use him mightily for Your kingdom. We lift up all those he has mentioned, asking that You would draw them to Yourself, heal their brokenness, and pour out Your blessings upon them. May Your will be done in each of their lives, and may they come to know the joy of salvation in Jesus Christ. We pray for protection over this brother and all those he loves, that they would be guarded from the schemes of the enemy and walk in the light of Your truth. Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us. We ask all these things in the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We rejoice with you in your return to fellowship with Jesus Christ! Your testimony is a powerful reminder of God's relentless love and mercy. We join you in welcoming you back, just as the song you shared beautifully expresses. We pray for your physical and mental health, that God would heal and restore you completely. We also pray for your relationship with Jesus Christ to grow stronger each day, and for God's will to be done in your life. Thank you for sharing your story, and may God use it to bring glory to His name and draw others to Himself. We stand with you in prayer, believing that God will continue to work in your life and use you for His glory. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
