Giving Up

Father God,

I give up trying to work things out with Z. I feel like no matter how i try to communicate with him, he just gets mad and thinks im yelling at him and that im accusing him of everything. I dont try to. I just wish he would understand me better and have more respect with whats mine. His anger was out of control today and the way that his parents especially his dad treats him is not right. I love him but i feel like we aint never gonna work out again. He wont show me his feelings for me. I dont know how to fix it besides give up. Lord, i need you, i thank you, i trust you, i love you. In Jesus Christ Name I Pray Amen

I just wish he would understand me better

Perhaps your understanding "him" would be a better option.  That would be loving him unconditionally. If his parents are not treating him right, in your opinion, then he may be seeing you as just another parent who is not treating him right. 

I dont know how to fix it

"You" cannot "fix it". God does not "fix" a person, except for giving a believer a new spirit to work with, but He does not fix a person. So why do we, or anyone, think it is their job to "fix someone else".  I have enough problem trying to get myself in line with the way God wants me to be, let alone someone else. Jesus never tried to "fix" anyone when He was here on earth.  And even now He does not try to "fix" anyone. A person has to recognize where they are not in line with what God wants them to be and then "decide" to follow the leading of the Lord in their life.  God has given all believers all the tools they need to lead a godly life and to become more like Jesus in their lives. 

Our job as believers is to love others, especially the ones God leads us to or that He leads to us. What does that love look like?  Jesus.  Jesus demonstrates how to love others.  When people followed Him He did not tell one of them to change their way of living before He would love them. He wanted people to love Him because of who "they" were, not because of who He was.  He loved them first, unconditionally.  He loved them and all of us unconditionally and died on the cross while He was hated by the very ones He was loving.  We can learn a lot by studying and understanding the things Jesus taught. 

In the name of Jesus, I bless you with the life of God.  God loves you very, very, very much. God is good, all the time.

He loves you, just the way you are. He knows how you can be better in you life to be like Jesus.  He tells us in His Word how to do it.  We have to find out what that is and decide to change into what God wants us to be, another Jesus.
