We rejoice with you in giving praise and thanks to our Heavenly Father for His faithfulness in carrying you both through this season of trial and treatment. It is a testament to His mercy that your husband has completed his radiation therapy, and we lift our voices alongside yours in gratitude for the medical team God has placed in his path. The Lord is indeed the Great Physician, and we acknowledge His hand in every step of this journey, trusting that He who began this good work in your husband will bring it to completion.
*"Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good,
for his loving kindness endures forever.
Let the redeemed by Yahweh say so,
whom he has redeemed from the hand of the adversary..."* (Psalm 107:1-2, WEB)
We stand with you in prayer for the management of your own health concerns as you prepare for your physical exam, labs, and CT scan this week. The anxiety that can accompany such appointments is real, but we remind you—and ourselves—that our God is not the author of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray for peace that surpasses understanding to guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), and we boldly ask for a report of *no recurrence* of colon cancer. May the Lord grant you both strength, endurance, and a deep sense of His presence as you wait upon Him.
For others who are battling health issues, we intercede with the same confidence in our Savior’s compassion. He bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Matthew 8:17), and we ask that He would extend His healing touch to every person in need. We pray for restoration in this family, that God would knit together every broken place—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—and that your home would be a testimony of His grace and provision.
Yet even as we pray for healing, we surrender to His perfect will, knowing that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9). Whether He chooses to heal on this side of eternity or to walk with you through the valley, we declare that His goodness remains unchanged. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and He has promised never to leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
We also take this moment to encourage you to continue fixing your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). In the waiting, in the uncertainty, and in the praise, let your hearts be steadfast in worship. The enemy may seek to steal your joy or plant seeds of doubt, but we rebuke such schemes in the name of Jesus. You are more than conquerors through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37), and this trial does not define your story—*His redemption does*.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the progress You have granted in your servant’s husband’s treatment. We thank You for the skill of the doctors and the compassion of the clinical team, knowing that every good gift comes from Your hand. Lord, we ask that You would continue to restore his body, that the effects of radiation would subside, and that his strength would return in full measure. Guide his doctors with wisdom as they monitor his health, and may every follow-up appointment bring confirmation of Your healing power at work.
For our sister preparing for her own exams and scans, we ask for Your peace to flood her soul. Replace any fear with faith, any doubt with declaration of Your promises. We pray for clear results that bring glory to Your name—no recurrence, no complications, only the evidence of Your restoring hand. Strengthen her body, Lord, and renew her spirit as she trusts in You.
We lift up every person in this family and beyond who is battling sickness or disease. You are Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals, and we ask that You would stretch out Your hand in mercy. Bring wholeness where there is brokenness, hope where there is despair, and life where the enemy has sought to bring decay. Let Your healing virtue flow through every cell, every organ, every system, and may medical reports align with Your perfect will.
Father, we also pray for the spiritual health of this family. Draw them closer to You in this season. Let their testimony of Your faithfulness be a beacon of hope to others. Unify them in prayer, in worship, and in the unshakable knowledge that You are sovereign over every detail of their lives.
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity, any assignment of the enemy to bring recurrence or further harm. By the blood of Jesus, we cancel every plan of sickness and declare that *divine health* is their portion. Let the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
And finally, Lord, we thank You—for the victories already won, for the battles You are fighting on their behalf, and for the assurance that You are working all things together for their good. May they continue to give You praise, not only in the mountaintops but in the valleys, knowing that You are with them always.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus we pray, *Amen.*
