Rocks of Trouble
The Golden Calf
Have You Forgotten Him?
We have read your request and we hear the weariness and discouragement in your words as you share that you have given up on getting the products you need for your health and for provision and have decided to just wait until it is time to go. We want to stand with you in this heavy place and lift you before the Lord together, for you are not forgotten and your life still has great purpose in His eyes.

We understand how exhausting it can be when health struggles continue and financial needs feel unmet even after much prayer. Yet we want to gently encourage you not to give up, for God does not want you to resign yourself to despair while you wait. His Word tells us, Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up. Galatians 6:9. And also, Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh. Psalm 27:14. Waiting on the Lord is not passive resignation but active trust, believing that He is still working even when we cannot see the answer yet.

We also notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for He is our hope both in this life and for eternity. When we pray in His name, we come with confidence that God hears us.

We want to rebuke the spirit of hopelessness and the lie that your prayers have been enough and that there is nothing more to do but give up. The Lord invites us to pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17. He is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18. He knows your health needs and your financial needs intimately. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. And For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11. Your times are in His hands, Psalm 31:15, and He still has good work for you to do in the time He has given you.

We also encourage you not to neglect the stewardship of the health He has given you. While we trust God as our ultimate healer, He often provides help through practical means, wise counsel, and provision, and we pray He will make a way for what you need in His timing. Do not be afraid to reach out to a trusted pastor, counselor, doctor, or a family member or friend who can walk with you and support you when the burden feels too heavy. You do not have to carry this alone.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ and lift this dear one to You. You see the fatigue, the disappointment, and the sense of wanting to give up. Lord, we ask You to renew hope and strength. We pray that You would touch this body with Your healing hand according to Your will and provide for every financial need. We ask You to remind this heart that You are near, that You hear every prayer, and that You have not abandoned them. Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. Fill this heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and help them to wait on You with courage, trusting that You work all things together for good for those who love You. Romans 8:28. We pray for renewed faith to keep seeking You, to keep praying, and to keep trusting that You are the source of life and provision. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing your needs to Him daily, to stay in His Word, and to let others come alongside you. We are praying that God will lift your eyes to see His goodness even in this waiting season and that He will restore your hope and strength day by day.

We hear how tired you are. Needing health products you cannot afford and feeling like you have prayed and waited without answers can leave anyone feeling worn down and ready to just wait until it is time to go. It makes sense that hope feels thin right now.

We want to walk with you in prayer and also encourage you not to face these health and financial burdens alone. Would you consider letting one trusted person know today how you are feeling, whether a pastor, a family member or friend, or your doctor or clinic? Sharing that you have given up and are waiting to go gives someone nearby a chance to support you practically and to help you get care for your health needs alongside prayer.

We are praying for you and we will keep praying.

Jesus, we lift our friend to You right now. You see the health needs and the financial pressure and the weariness of waiting. Please surround them with caring support today, guide them to help that is right for them, and give them strength for each next step. Keep them safe and remind them they are not alone. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your words carry a heaviness that has been heard, and I would not pass them by lightly. To say that you have given up and will only wait until it is time to go is the language of despair, and I must speak to you faithfully about it, because no child of sorrow has a just pretense to perish in despair while God lives.

Despair is a high insult to God, for it says in effect that His mercy is defeated and His grace is not sufficient. It brings out the adversary and would crown him in Christ's stead, as if Satan had conquered the very mercy of God. It also degrades a man below the brute, for even the smallest insect will struggle for life when wounded. Why then should one made in the image of God lie down sullenly in despair. What you say in despair, if you mind not what you are doing, you may make true by your own yielding to it. Sit not down in it. Hope on, hope ever. There is One who cares for you, and while Jehovah lives the mourner need not despair.

You speak of health and of need, of products you cannot obtain and money you lack, and of having prayed enough. I know penury has added its weight to many sorrows, and bodily affliction is too painful to let us slumber in silence. We very speedily care for bodily diseases and they urge us to seek a physician, and rightly so. The Lord has ordained means as well as mercies, and it is not faith to refuse the means He provides. Do not despise the healing that may come through the physician's hand or through lawful provision, for the great Physician often works through ordinary instruments. To give up on what may help the body is not submission, it is to refuse the conduit through which abundant streams of healing may flow.

Know this, that in Christ there is an abundance of healing power. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing. His word, His touch, His garment, the very hem of it, has virtue. Pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the man sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, and pardon and healing were one. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and that healing virtue which His grace infuses will work health and cure till we are without spot. He is a home for desolation, raiment for nakedness, food for hunger, light for darkness, liberty for bondage, joy for despair.

Therefore I entreat you not to close your hand against help, nor to conclude that prayer has failed because the answer tarries. Faith comes by hearing, and healing is linked with teaching, and the Lord is pleased to keep us waiting that we may learn to trust Him more fully. He has not forgotten your need for daily bread nor for bodily strength. He knows what you have need of before you ask.

I will pray for you now, and ask others to pray with me, that the Lord would lift this cloud of despondency, forgive all sin, heal all disease, and provide for your temporal wants according to His riches. May He give you grace to take up arms again against this sea of troubles, to seek such lawful help as is within reach, to cast your care upon Him who cares for you, and to find in Christ both pardon and healing. May He not let you go down in despair, but raise you up to serve Him yet, for healing must come before serving, and He delights to take the sick by the hand and lift them up.

Do not wait in silence alone. Speak to a faithful pastor, to a physician, to a trusted brother or sister, and let them bear this burden with you. Seek the Lord while He may be found, and look to Jesus, who is able to heal though you have been far spent, and who says still, Return, return.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your words carry a deep weariness, and I hear how long you have been praying for health and for provision, and how heavy it has become to keep hoping. To feel pressed on every side and perplexed, and to say I will just wait until it is time to go, is a sign that your strength feels spent, not that God has left you.

Scripture speaks directly to this feeling. We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed, perplexed, yet not unto despair, pursued, yet not forsaken. That word is given so you will know that to be pressed is not to be abandoned, and to be perplexed is not to be without hope. We do not quite fall off, even when we feel we have fallen.

Do not let despair have the last word. The evil one never despairs of our destruction, he never stops hoping to pull us down, and it would be a great condemnation if he is so persistent in evil and we grow weary of hoping in God for good. If you have fallen into weariness, the word to you is, shall not he that falleth arise, lift up the hands which hang down and the feeble knees. If you are still standing, the word is watch, that you may preserve what you have. In both cases God calls you to keep moving toward Him, not to sit in resignation. Some need to preserve health, others need to be delivered from infirmity, and many who were sick have become healthy again, while many healthy have grown weak through neglect. Your health still matters to God.

You say you have prayed enough and will now just wait. Yet the Lord teaches us the opposite, to pray without ceasing, with all prayer and supplication at all seasons, watching in perseverance. Remember the widow who by her importunity prevailed, and the friend who at midnight shamed his friend into yielding by his persistence, and the Canaanite woman who though first told it is not meet to take the children's bread, still persevered and received it. Often though we feel unworthy, by perseverance we become ready to receive. Your continued prayer is not vain repetition, it is the very way God forms trust and draws you closer. Do not stop knocking.

God is also the physician who is able to cure where we cannot. What is impossible with men is possible with God. He sometimes heals directly, and sometimes He heals through the means He has provided, through physicians, through care, through provision for the body. To give up on what helps your health as if using help were a lack of faith is to misunderstand His mercy. As we would not refuse bread when hungry because we trust God to feed the birds of the air, so we should not refuse help for the body when it is available. If you lack money for what you need, bring that need plainly to God as well, and also bring it to faithful brothers and sisters who can help you seek wise and affordable care and stewardship.

So I urge you not to simply wait to go, but to choose life again today. Keep praying, keep asking, keep seeking. Speak honestly to a pastor or a trusted believer near you about how tired you are and about these thoughts of waiting to go, so you are not carrying this alone. If you have medical needs, please continue to seek appropriate care and counsel rather than abandoning it.

Let me pray for you now.

Father in heaven, You see this weary heart that has prayed long for health and for daily provision. You know the need for strength in the body and for money to meet real needs. Lift up these hanging hands and feeble knees. Guard this soul from despair and keep it from being forsaken in its own eyes. Teach perseverance in prayer, and grant faith to keep asking, seeking and knocking. Provide what is needed for health and for life, whether by Your direct hand or by the means You have given, and show the next faithful step to take. Let Your power be shown in weakness, that though pressed, this child of Yours is not crushed, and though perplexed, not driven to despair. In the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and healer, amen.

If the weariness grows heavier, please reach out today to a pastor, a family member, or a trusted friend, and if you ever feel you may harm yourself, seek help right away from someone near you or a crisis helpline in your area. You are not forgotten, and your life is still in God's hands. Keep watching, keep praying, and let others walk with you in this.
