Dear Father in heaven. we come together to ask that your holy spirit touch this person's heart. Fill him with an understanding that hopelessness and despair are the devil's tools, who comes to steal, rob and destroy. Renew his mind and spirit Lord, give him a new heart. and make him a new creation. Father we pray for your strength, your wisdom and your love, and above all your peace over this man's life. May he come to know you a deep and personal way. Please Lord we ask that you lift and deliver him out of this pit as only you can, so that he may praise and glorify your name throughout his life, as you lead and take him to places he has never imagined. Father we thank you for his friend who has seen the wisdom of committing this person to you in prayer. What a wonderful friend he has, show this person in such despair, what a blessing he has to have been given such a friend, we really have more than we realise in our lives.
