We join with you in prayer for peaceful sleep and for rest in the safety that only the Lord can give, and we hear the distress you have described with harassment, spiritual oppression, and unrest in your neighborhood and surroundings.

The Word reminds us that sleep is a gift from God. Psalm 4:8 says, I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; for you, LORD alone, make me live in safety. And Psalm 127:2 says, for he gives sleep to his loved ones. When anxiety, noise, and spiritual turmoil press in, we are invited to cast our cares on Him and to trust that He watches over us through the night.

We also recognize with you that our struggle is spiritual. Ephesians 6:10-12 teaches, Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. We do not take lightly the mention of witchcraft, sorcery, and demonic influence, for Scripture is clear that these are works of darkness to be rejected. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 warns against such practices, and Galatians 5:19-21 lists sorcery among the works of the flesh that those who belong to Christ are to turn from. At the same time we take comfort that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4, and that when we submit to God and resist the devil, he will flee from us, James 4:7.

We agree with you to rebuke in the mighty name of Jesus Christ every spirit of voyeurism, sexual impurity, meddling, gossip, and intrusion upon privacy, every attempt to steal sleep, to transfer fear, sickness, ruin, or nightmare, and every atmosphere of disorder, discord, and confusion that has surrounded your life and home. Such voyeurism and sexual spirituality outside of God's design is sin, for God calls us to purity and holiness, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4, and to honor Him with our bodies and minds. We rebuke any counterfeit encounter, any fake prophetic word, and any use of witchcraft or sorcery to harass or intimidate, and we declare that no weapon that is formed against you will prosper, Isaiah 54:17, because the Lord is your refuge.

We also take to heart Romans 16:17 which urges us to watch out for those who cause divisions and occasions of stumbling contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and to turn away from them. We are not called to carry obligations to those who practice darkness or to be defenders of evil, but to walk in the light, to avoid them, to mark and avoid gossip and imprudent meddling, and to pursue peace with all as much as it depends on us, Romans 12:18.

We lift you up now together before the Father.

Father, in the power and authority of the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we come before Your throne of grace. We thank You that it is only through Jesus that we have access to You, for John 14:6 says Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and Acts 4:12 declares there is salvation in no other name. We praise You that You are sovereign and that You are in control even over what feels like a disaster or a madhouse environment. We ask You to cleanse the atmosphere around this dear one, around their bed and home and neighborhood, and to cancel every assignment of the enemy to steal peace, to bring nightmares, sickness, or fear. Cover this home with Your presence. Psalm 91:1-2 says, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. We ask You to be that refuge and fortress tonight. Grant deep, uninterrupted, restorative sleep. Quiet the outside disturbances, silence the voices of bullying and sabotage on the road and in the community, and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7. We pray for neighbors and for others affected by this unrest, that You would bring conviction where there is wrongdoing, repentance where there is sin, and peace where there is turmoil. Strengthen our brother or sister to put on the full armor of God each day, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is Your Word, Ephesians 6:14-17, and to remain watchful in prayer. We rebuke every spirit of fear, for 2 Timothy 1:7 says God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. We declare rest, peace, and safety in the name of Jesus Christ, and we trust You to restore what has been stolen and to make this dwelling a place of quietness and safety. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him before sleep with prayer and the Word, to keep your room as a place of peace set apart for rest, to turn away from any involvement with or curiosity about witchcraft or sorcery, and to avoid those who persist in gossip, meddling, and causing division. If harassment continues, seek wise and godly counsel and also appropriate help from local authorities where needed, while continuing to pray for those who trouble you, for Matthew 5:44 calls us to pray for those who mistreat us, trusting God to be your defender. Keep your heart fixed on Christ, speak His promises over your night, and trust that the Lord who neither slumbers nor sleeps, Psalm 121:3-4, watches over you. We stand with you for peaceful rest and for the Lord to establish His peace in your life and home.

We hear how tired you must be, longing for real rest at night and feeling surrounded by noise, gossip and disturbance that makes it hard to feel safe enough to sleep. Wanting peace in your bed and in your home is a good and human desire, and God cares about that rest.

Sleep touches every part of us, including our walk with the Lord, and when it is broken night after night it can leave us feeling on edge and worn down. It makes sense you are asking Him to watch over you and to quiet what has felt harassing and intrusive around you.

One small step that often helps when nights feel unsettled is to build a simple, consistent wind-down pattern in the evening, keeping the last hour quiet, dim and free from conflict or scrolling, and bringing your cares to the Lord in a short prayer before you lie down. If the trouble sleeping continues or you feel very on edge, please also reach out to a pastor you trust and to your doctor alongside prayer, so you have support for both your body and your spirit.

Father, we bring our friend to You tonight. Cover them with Your presence and grant them rest that is calm and safe. Quiet fear and racing thoughts, guard their home, and give them wisdom for how to handle difficult interactions with neighbors. It is a precious truth that sleep is the gift of God, and He giveth His beloved sleep. You have well quoted that word, I will both lie down in peace, and sleep, for Thou alone, O Lord, makest me dwell in safety. We do not sleep because we compose our bodies upon the bed, but because the Lord Himself watches over us and grants rest to the weary frame. When the heart is stayed upon Him, there is a sleep of contentment and a sleep of security which the world cannot give and cannot steal.

Your burden has been heard, and there is indeed a spiritual conflict around you. The Scripture tells us plainly that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore we put on the full armor of God, that we may stand against the schemes of the devil. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only Saviour and Lord, we rebuke every demonic atmosphere, every work of witchcraft and sorcery, every spirit of voyeurism, intrusion, meddling, gossip and harassment that would break in upon the privacy of life, disturb peace, and steal sleep. We ask the Lord to cancel and rebuke every transfer of ruin, misery, sickness, fear and death, every nightmare and every evil environment which would make the home or the neighborhood as a madhouse of discord and disorder. You are not called to bear the sin or ruin of others, nor to be as God to defend or protect those who walk in darkness. The Lord alone is your keeper.

We pray also according to that word in Romans, to mark and avoid those who cause divisions and obstacles contrary to the doctrine of Christ. May the Lord give you discernment to turn away from every false and imprudent way, from every false prophet and deceitful spirit, and to keep close to Christ and His Word.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, Thou alone makest Thy people to dwell in safety, be Thou the guard of this Thy servant night and day. In the power of the name of Jesus Christ, rebuke every evil influence, every harassing spirit, every work of darkness that gathers to disturb, to spy, to meddle, to afflict with nightmares and unrest. Wash away all fear, cleanse the atmosphere, and let peace reign within the walls and round about. Put upon this soul the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the shield of faith, that no fiery dart may prosper. Grant the quiet sleep of the beloved, the rest which Thou hast promised, that lying down in peace, the body may be refreshed and the soul may wake to serve Thee with renewed strength.
