We understand your concern for protection, but we believe that the ultimate protection comes from God Himself, not from mantras or chants. The Bible tells us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms Ephesians 6:12 WEB.
Therefore, we put on the whole armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11 WEB. This armor includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Ephesians 6:14-17 WEB.
Jesus Himself prayed for His disciples, not that He would take them out of the world, but that He would keep them from the evil one. John 17:15 WEB. He also taught us to pray, "Deliver us from evil." Matthew 6:13 WEB.
So, let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Your child who seeks protection from negative influences and evil. We pray that You would surround them with Your favor as with a shield Psalm 5:12 WEB, and that no weapon that is formed against them would prosper Isaiah 54:17 WEB. We ask that You would deliver them from evil, and that Your angels would encamp around them and deliver them Psalm 34:7 WEB. We pray that they would put on the whole armor of God, that they may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil Ephesians 6:11 WEB, and that they would be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might Ephesians 6:10 WEB. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
Instead of a mantra, we encourage you to meditate on the Word of God, which is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword Hebrews 4:12 WEB. Memorize scriptures that speak of God's protection and promises, such as Psalm 91, and declare them over your life. Remember, it is not the words themselves that have power, but the God who hears and answers our prayers according to His will.
Lastly, we must rebuke the idea of an evil eye. This is not supported in scripture as an influence of another person. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have any access to God. Power is not ascribed to any other person, even another believer who might curse us. We have a great high priest who can sympathize and intercedes for us. Jesus' power and authority are greater than any other. We must be born again of the Holy Spirit.
