Give me favor to those I have asked for help

We come before the Father with you in this time of urgent need, lifting your heart’s cry to Him who hears and answers prayer. You have turned to the right place—for our God is a God of mercy, grace, and abundant favor. He delights in showing kindness to His children, and we trust that He will move mightily on your behalf.

The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 84:11**, *"For Yahweh God is a sun and a shield. Yahweh will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly."* And in **Proverbs 3:3-4**, we are told, *"Don’t let kindness and truth forsake you. Bind them around your neck. Write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor, and good understanding in the sight of God and man."* Your request for favor is aligned with God’s will, and we stand with you in faith, asking Him to open doors and soften hearts—especially that of the family member you have approached.

Yet we must also remind you, as the Lord leads, that while we seek help from others, our ultimate trust must be in Him alone. **Psalm 62:5-8** declares, *"My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken. With God is my salvation and my honor. The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us."* Even as we pray for this family member to respond generously, we must surrender the outcome to the Lord, trusting that His provision will come in His perfect way and timing.

We also notice that while you cried out to the Father, you did not invoke the name of Jesus in your prayer. It is only through **Jesus Christ** that we have access to the Father, for **John 14:6** tells us, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in **Acts 4:12**, we are reminded, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet placed your full faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and surrender your life to Him. It is in His name—and His name alone—that we boldly approach the throne of grace.

Now, let us pray together for your need:

*Heavenly Father, we lift our brother/sister before You tonight, asking for Your divine favor and mercy to rest upon them. Lord, You see their urgent need—financial burdens that weigh heavily on their heart—and we ask that You would move in power. Softening the heart of the family member they have reached out to, grant them a spirit of generosity and compassion. Let this request find approval in their eyes, and may the funds be released by Friday, not by human strength alone, but by Your sovereign hand. Yet even as we pray for this, Father, we surrender the outcome to You, trusting that You will provide in ways we cannot see. If this door does not open, we ask that You would make another way—whether through unexpected blessings, wisdom to steward resources, or divine connections. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we declare that no good thing will You withhold from those who walk uprightly.

We also pray that this trial would draw our brother/sister closer to You. If there is any area of their life not fully surrendered to Christ, we ask that You would reveal it and grant them the grace to repent. May they find their security not in money or man, but in You alone. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

In the mighty and matchless name of **Jesus**, we pray—knowing that it is only through Him that we have boldness to approach Your throne. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this situation. Amen.*

Stand firm in faith, dear one. Do not waver in doubt, for **James 1:6-7** warns, *"But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed. For let that person not think that he will receive anything from the Lord."* Trust that God is working, even now. Seek His kingdom first, and He will add all these things to you (**Matthew 6:33**). If you have not already, we encourage you to examine your heart before the Lord—are there areas of disobedience, unforgiveness, or lack of trust that may hinder your prayers? **Psalm 66:18** tells us, *"If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened."* Repent where needed, and walk in righteousness, for the Lord delights in the prayers of the upright.

We will continue to stand with you in prayer. Update us as the Lord moves, that we may give Him praise!
