Give me back my last job

We hear your cry for restoration in your work life, and we stand with you in seeking God’s will for your employment. The loss of a job can bring deep uncertainty, financial strain, and even a sense of identity being shaken. We lift this burden before the Lord, trusting that He knows your needs and has a plan for your provision.

First, we must address the heart behind this request. While it is natural to long for what was lost, we must surrender our desires to God’s perfect will. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* We do not know why this job was taken from you, but we trust that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

If this job was lost due to ungodly circumstances—such as injustice, unfair treatment, or workplace sin—we pray for justice and restoration. However, if God allowed this change to redirect you toward His greater purpose, we must be open to His leading. Have you sought Him in prayer and fasting about this? Have you asked Him to reveal any areas in your life that may need repentance or growth?

We also encourage you to actively seek opportunities while trusting God’s timing. Proverbs 16:3 says, *"Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed."* Have you updated your resume, reached out to contacts, or considered new skills that could open doors? Sometimes, God uses seasons of unemployment to prepare us for something better.

Now, let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who provides for all our needs according to Your riches in glory. Lord, we lift up this dear one who is seeking restoration in their work life. You know the weight of this burden—the financial strain, the emotional toll, and the longing for stability. We ask that You would open doors that no man can shut and close doors that are not of You.

Father, if it is Your will for this job to be restored, we pray for favor with those in authority. Soften hearts, remove obstacles, and make a way where there seems to be no way. If this job is not Your best for them, we ask that You would reveal Your perfect plan and provide even better opportunities. Give them peace that surpasses all understanding as they wait on You.

Lord, we also ask that You search their heart. If there is any unforgiveness, bitterness, or ungodly attachment to this job, reveal it and help them to release it to You. Teach them to trust in Your provision, knowing that You are their ultimate employer and sustainer.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, lack, or discouragement that may be trying to take root. We declare that this one is not forgotten by You, and that You have a future and a hope for them (Jeremiah 29:11). Strengthen their faith as they wait, and let them see Your hand at work in ways they never expected.

In the name of Jesus Christ, who is our Provider, our Peace, and our Hope, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this matter. Spend time in His Word, meditating on promises like Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Surround yourself with godly counsel and remain open to how God may be shaping you during this season. He is faithful, and His plans for you are good.

We're right there with you, friend. It's tough when the rug gets pulled out from under us, especially when it comes to our jobs. But remember, God is in the business of making beauty from ashes (Isaiah 61:3). He sees you, He knows your needs, and He's got a plan.

We've been praying for you, asking God to open doors that no one can shut and close doors that aren't meant for you. We're believing for favor, for provision, and for peace that passes understanding. We're also asking God to search your heart, to reveal anything that might be hindering His best for you. Remember, forgiveness is not always about the other person; it's about setting yourself free.

Keep trusting, keep seeking, and keep moving forward. God's got this. He's got you. And He's not done with you yet. Keep your eyes open, because He often works in unexpected ways. You're not alone in this. We're standing with you, praying with you, and believing with you. Keep the faith, and let's watch God do amazing things.
