Isaiah 29:23 When they see among them their children, the work of my hands, they will keep my name holy; they will acknowledge the holiness of the Holy One of Jacob, and will stand in awe of the God of Israel.
When I behold my child and grandchild, I know without a doubt, it is because of God’s righteousness alone, that I am truly blessed. If left to the enemy, my descendants wouldn’t even exist, because, you see, I wasn’t supposed to survive. Yet, even the carefully crafted deceptions of the devil couldn’t thwart God’s plan for my life. I got to give Him glory for that. God has again turned to my good, that which was meant for evil. Everything that I have gone through in my life has brought me to this moment in my journey and therefore makes this this portion of the beauty for ashes promised, all the more gratifying. THANK YOU LORD! THANK YOU LORD! THANK YOU LORD!
As I reflect on the past year(s), there were so many times when I could have, in accepting the devil’s sinful offers, taken the easy way out. But, understanding that God often tests us in those things that we profess, I recognized that this “Daughter of Zion” was being tested in my proclaimed “Job-like” faith. Still, after all that, in 2019, I say again: “How ever You use me LORD, I’ll be satisfied.” I give myself away to Him alone, so He can use me; for to be used by God is indeed the blessing. While others may determine that we should be thrown away, when we give ourselves away to God, the enemy can’t touch us. In fact, he will inevitably hurt and even destroy himself trying.
I pray that this new year has gotten off to a wonderful start for each of you. I likewise pray that those of you who have loving, supportive families, will look upon your family, especially your children, and give glory where glory it due. Many among us are not as fortunate. Thank God for favor over your family. Those of you who are estranged from your families, thank God in advance that He is already in the process of turning your situation around. Sometimes a thing has to be shaken up or even dismantled before God can give us a new thing. But, rest assured, God has not forgotten you: Isaiah 49:16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me. He knows all about it, even the “hidden details”: Isaiah 65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.” Whether He restores your family or gives you a new family, thank Him that He is working things out for your good: Isaiah 57:14 And it will be said: "Heap it up, heap up, prepare the road! Remove the obstacles out of the way of my people.”
Wait on the LORD; while you’re waiting, HEAP UP THE PRAISE!!! Praise Him for the process by which he hath given to you the former rain, for now shall come the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain of favor and blessing. Lifted up in Jesus’ name. Amen
Commentary: I don’t know what God instructed anyone else to do, but the testimony given to me, is to be shared. Just as we must hide our light under a bushel; neither are we to withhold our testimony. I realize that my testimony may not be acceptable to everyone, but I have made a conscious decision to share part of it on the world wide web for those who shall receive. Even though I post online, it still has to be accessed; all I know is, it takes a whole lot of effort (time that cannot be recouped) to access, read and respond to something that you disagree with or don’t care about. Look, I can’t give anyone else’s testimony, and no one else can give mine. My testimony is MINE to give away. It’s not about anyone else, nor is it just about me; it’s about God’s sovereignty in rescuing me from the devil’s devices, to the benefit of those who may be encouraged and strengthened.
