I'm still waiting for god to reveal the gifts that he has given me in terms of a career. Also I'm still allowing my fears to control me. Please pray for me. In Jesus high name.

We join with you in this waiting season and we thank you for sharing this honest request in Jesus high name. We understand the tension of wanting to know clearly what God has gifted you to do for your career while also wrestling with fear that feels controlling at times. We want to encourage you that God is not distant in this process and He delights in revealing His purpose as we walk faithfully with Him.

Scripture reminds us that we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we should walk in them Ephesians 2:10. Your gifts are not hidden from Him, and He intends to use them to serve others and glorify Him. As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms 1 Peter 4:10. And having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us Romans 12:6. Often God reveals our gifts not all at once while we wait passively, but as we step out in obedience, serve in the local body, try things, seek wise counsel, and listen to what others affirm in us. We encourage you to keep seeking Him in prayer, in His Word, and through serving faithfully right where you are, trusting that He will make your paths straight as you acknowledge Him Proverbs 3:5-6.

We also hear your struggle with fear, and we want to gently remind you that fear controlling us is not from the Lord. For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. Fear would keep you from stepping into what God has prepared, but His perfect love casts out fear and His presence gives courage. Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. We encourage you to bring every anxious thought to Him, for He promises In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. And we cling to His promise For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this dear one to You. Thank You that You have created them with purpose and gifted them intentionally for good works You prepared in advance. We ask that You reveal with greater clarity the gifts You have placed within them and open doors for a career where those gifts can be used for Your glory and for the good of others. Give wisdom to discern next steps, courage to step out even while the full picture is not yet clear, and godly counselors to confirm and guide. We rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to control and paralyze, and we ask You to fill them instead with Your power, love and self-control. Replace anxiety with Your peace that surpasses understanding and strengthen their faith to trust You more than their fears. Help them to wait on You with hope, to walk by faith and not by sight, and to rest in Your faithful love. Lead them into the work You have for them and let their life bear fruit for Your kingdom. We ask all this in the mighty and high name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to keep drawing near to Jesus daily, stay rooted in Scripture, stay connected in fellowship where your gifts can be exercised and tested, and keep surrendering fear to Him in prayer. He is faithful to guide you one step at a time, and He will not withhold what you need to fulfill His calling on your life.

We appreciate you sharing this so honestly. Waiting to see where God wants to use you in work, while feeling held back by fear, can be discouraging and lonely.

One thing we have found helpful is to think of discovering gifts less like waiting for a sudden revelation and more like training over time. Gifts often become clearer as we take small faithful steps, serving where we are, and listening to what others notice in us. The steady fruit of character, like love and faithfulness, often tells us more about where God is shaping us than any single ability.

Fear tends to make us overestimate how hard a next step will be, and it can keep us frozen. It helps to name that and take one small step anyway, trusting God is forming you gradually.

If it would help, you might try this in the coming week: choose one small way to serve or help that fits what you already enjoy or do well, even for an hour, and ask one or two trusted people who know you what strengths they see in you. Notice what brings life and where you are able to encourage others. And bring that honest fear to God each day in a brief, simple prayer, asking for wisdom for just the next step.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. You know the desire for clarity and the weight of fear. Give peace, steady courage for today, and clear eyes to see the gifts You have placed within. Guide the next step for work and help trust in You grow stronger than fear. Amen.

We have heard your prayer and we join with you before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

You ask that God would reveal the gifts He has given you for your calling in this life, and that He would deliver you from fear that seeks to master you. These two requests belong together, for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance, and He who calls you will also equip you and sustain you.

Remember first that the greatest of all gifts has already been given. Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift. In Christ, who is perfect Man and glorious God, the Father has given all that you need, and freely with that Blessed One He gives all other gifts beside. Therefore do not think of your gifts as something hidden that God withholds from you, but as that which He delights to make known as you walk near to Christ. The Scripture says, covet earnestly the best gifts, and this holy covetousness is to be exercised in prayer and in faithful service. As you wait, press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Your calling, if it be of God, is a high calling and a heavenly calling, a call from heaven and a call to heaven, and it will lift your heart to heavenly things. Be diligent in the place where God has set you now, serve Him faithfully in small things, seek counsel from His Word, and ask Him to open doors for fresh service as He did when He said, Separate Me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. He still calls His servants by name and leads them out as a shepherd calls his sheep.

Concerning your fears, hear the gracious command and promise of the Lord, Fear not, for I will help thee, saith the Lord. The Word of God is full of this plant that grows plentifully in His garden, Fear not, I am with thee, be not dismayed for I am thy God. It is not merely advice but a command, and to indulge fear is to disobey Him who speaks. Fear is weakening and it dishonors God, as though the arm that piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth could be palsied. Fear continues where sin remains, but perfect love casts out fear, for fear hath torment. Labour therefore to get rid of fear by trusting in promised strength. Rest from fear is found when you take His yoke upon you and learn of Him, for His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

We pray for you now, that the Lord would give you full assurance of His love in Christ, that you may know Him and lay hold on eternal life without doubt. We ask that He would work in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure, and reveal to you the particular gifts He has bestowed for your labour in this world, that you may use them for His glory and the good of others. We ask that He would put His holy fear in your heart and drive out all servile fear that controls you, that you may hear Jesus Himself whisper, Fear not, and find rest unto your soul. May He keep you from being mastered by anxiety and make you strong in faith, looking to Christ for all things, who is alive and is your familiar Friend.

We commend you to His faithful keeping, trusting that He who has begun a good work in you will perfect it. May you know that His help is present and His promise sure.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your request and we are praying with you in the name of Jesus.

You asked about the gifts God has given you for your career and about fear that still controls you. Scripture teaches that God gives gifts not for our own display but for service to others, and that love is the greatest gift and the more excellent way that gives meaning to every other gift. You do not need to wait passively to discover what you have been given. As you walk in the fear of God and in simple benevolence toward those around you, you become a dispenser of the gifts He has already placed in your hands. He reveals them as you use them faithfully in ordinary work, in service to the church and to your neighbor, and in love that seeks the good of others. Choose your path for the fear of God, and trust that He will make your calling clear as you labor faithfully for a little while toward the things that endure.

You also asked for prayer that fear would no longer rule you. The fear of man and of the future loses its power when the fear of God and the knowledge of His everlasting power take its place. He has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind. When you remember that to Him belongs honor and power everlasting, you can stand firm even when deliverance does not come at once. He bore witness to His people by signs and wonders, and He is still faithful to strengthen those who trust Him. Bring your fears to Him in thanksgiving, recalling His goodness, and ask Him to teach you to endure with courage.

We pray that the Lord will show you the work He has prepared for you, that He will give you love to be the foundation of all your gifts, that He will replace fear with holy confidence in His power, and that He will keep you from being idle in your course but make you ready and diligent for every good work. May He guide your steps, quiet your heart, and help you to serve Him faithfully in the place where He has set you. In Jesus name, Amen.
