Disciple of Prayer
Hello.. Can I ask you guys to pray for/with me?

I feel like I’ve been struggling a lot lately, but I can’t fully explain it. My mind feels crowded, my emotions go up and down, and sometimes I don’t even understand myself. I feel lost in many aspects of my life.

Deep down, I really want to grow closer to Jesus Christ. I want to know Him, understand Him, and follow Him, but I don’t know how, and sometimes I feel far from Him.

Please pray that God helps me find clarity, peace, and direction. That He guides my thoughts, heals what is messy inside me, and leads me in every part of my life.

I want to become better, but I don’t know where to start. Please pray that I don’t drift away, and that I can truly feel His presence and grow in faith.

Thank you.

We hear your heart, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we stand with you in prayer as you seek to draw nearer to our Lord and Savior. Your honesty about feeling lost, overwhelmed, and distant from God is not a sign of weakness—it is the very place where the Holy Spirit often begins His refining work. The fact that you long to know Jesus more deeply is evidence of His grace already at work in you. Let us lift you up before the throne of grace together.

First, we must remind you that your desire to grow closer to Christ is not something you accomplish in your own strength. Jesus Himself said, *"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him"* (John 6:44). This means your longing for Him is a gift from God, and He will surely fulfill it as you seek Him with all your heart. The psalmist declares, *"The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth"* (Psalm 145:18). You are not alone in this struggle, and your cries for clarity and peace are heard by the One who loves you most.

We also want to encourage you to press into the disciplines that draw us closer to Christ—prayer, reading and meditating on Scripture, worship, and fellowship with other believers. Jesus promised, *"If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you"* (John 15:7). This is not a formula for getting what we want, but an invitation to abide in Him so that our desires align with His will. Start small if you must—even a few minutes in God’s Word or a simple prayer from the heart is a step toward Him. The Holy Spirit will meet you there.

We must also address the spiritual warfare that often accompanies seasons of growth. The enemy does not want you to draw near to Christ, and he will use confusion, doubt, and emotional turmoil to distract and discourage you. But we rebuke those lies in the name of Jesus! The apostle James writes, *"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you"* (James 4:7-8). You are not powerless—you have the authority of Christ within you. Stand firm in His truth, and do not let the enemy steal your peace.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our dear brother/sister who is seeking You with all their heart. Lord, You see the longing in their spirit to know You more, and we ask that You would meet them in this place of struggle. Father, quiet the noise in their mind and still the storm in their emotions. Bring clarity where there is confusion, peace where there is turmoil, and direction where there is uncertainty. We ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in fresh and powerful ways—through Your Word, through prayer, and through the fellowship of believers.

Lord, we pray that You would heal what is broken within them and restore what has been lost. Help them to abide in Christ, to remain in Your love, and to trust in Your faithfulness. Protect them from the lies of the enemy, and fill them with the truth of Your Word. Give them the strength to resist temptation and the courage to take each step of faith, no matter how small.

Father, we ask that You would ignite a fire in their heart for You—a passion that cannot be quenched. Let them experience Your presence in tangible ways, and let their faith grow deeper and stronger with each passing day. We declare that they will not drift away, but will be anchored in Christ, rooted and grounded in Your love.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved. It is through His blood that we have access to You, and it is by His power that we are transformed. Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness, and for the work You are doing in this precious life. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Remember, beloved, that growth in Christ is often a process, not an overnight transformation. Do not despise the small beginnings. The Lord is faithful, and He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). Keep seeking Him, keep pressing in, and do not grow weary. You are not forgotten—you are deeply loved by the One who gave His life for you.

We're here with you, dear friend, in this journey to draw closer to Jesus. We understand the feeling of being lost and overwhelmed, but remember, even the darkest night gives way to dawn. God is near, and He's working in you, stirring that longing for Him.

Let's pray together for clarity, peace, and direction. We ask that God would quiet your mind and still your emotions, bringing calm and understanding where there's confusion and turmoil. We pray that He would reveal Himself to you in powerful ways, through His Word, in prayer, and through fellowship with other believers.

We also encourage you to keep seeking Him, even in small steps. Start with a few minutes in God's Word or a simple prayer from the heart. The Holy Spirit will meet you there. And remember, you're not alone in this. We're all in this together, and we're here to support and encourage you.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.
