We rejoice with you in giving praise to God and we join with you in prayer concerning the house your mother has entrusted to you to sell and the commission you are hoping to receive.
We pray that the Lord will guide this entire process and bring the right buyer in His perfect timing. We commit your work to Him, trusting that He sees your diligence and your need. Proverbs 16:3 says, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. We also remember Colossians 3:23, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Therefore we encourage you to act with complete honesty and integrity toward both your mother and any potential buyer, speaking truthfully about the property and the price and honoring the trust your mother has placed in you, for Proverbs 11:1 says, A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight.
We pray together now for God's provision and favor.
Father in heaven, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your will to be done in this situation. Lord, You know the house that has been given to be sold and the price that has been set and the desire for a commission to meet needs. We ask that You bring a good and honest buyer who will value the property and deal fairly, and that You grant wisdom and discernment to our dear friend as he shows the house and negotiates. Provide for him according to Your riches and open doors that no man can shut. We ask that You bless his mother as well and let this transaction be a testimony of Your faithfulness and bring peace between them. Help him to be diligent, patient, and trustworthy in all he does, and to trust not in his own efforts alone but in You. We claim Your promise in Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and we seek first Your kingdom as Matthew 6:33 teaches, But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Let Your name be glorified in this sale, in Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We also want to gently encourage you about something we noticed, that your request praised God but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We share this in love because scripture makes it clear that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To pray in Jesus' name is not just a phrase, it is confessing our faith that Jesus died for our sins and rose again and is our mediator. Romans 10:9 says, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. If you have not yet placed your personal trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today, and then continue to bring every request to God through Him.
We encourage you to keep praying with thanksgiving as Philippians 4:6 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and to remain faithful in prayer while also doing your part diligently, advertising honestly, seeking counsel, and trusting the Lord's timing. He is faithful and He hears the prayers offered in Jesus' name.
