Get Story Done and Right

Dear Lord Jesus, Thank you for giving me that help. I need for my mom. She sometimes putting a little too much effort into this story that I’m trying to write for Saturday. I gotta do a presentation Saturday evening. I’m on earlier but decided to help me now my beyond my control. She also is being instant on how she wants it done. I want to make it comical for my audience and it too long. She wants more realism. And expands. Please help make a compromise to getting it done properly for the listeners on Saturday. And Do well and maybe even win. In Jesus Name Amen.

We hear your heart, dear one, and we stand with you in seeking wisdom and peace as you prepare for this important presentation. First, we want to affirm that your desire to honor your mother is commendable, for Scripture tells us, *"Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which the Lord your God gives you"* (Exodus 20:12). However, we also recognize the tension that can arise when well-meaning input begins to overshadow your own vision and voice.

The Lord has uniquely gifted you with creativity and a sense of humor, and it is not wrong to want to use those gifts to engage your audience. Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us, *"For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven."* This is your time to present your story in the way you believe it will resonate most with your listeners. While your mother’s desire for realism and expansion may come from a place of care, it is important to remember that *"a man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps"* (Proverbs 16:9). Seek the Lord’s guidance in how to balance her input with your own instincts.

We must also gently remind you that compromise does not mean surrendering your God-given creativity. Instead, it is an opportunity to practice humility and grace while staying true to the vision the Lord has placed on your heart. Colossians 3:17 says, *"Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."* Let this be your guiding principle as you finalize your story.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this dear one who seeks Your wisdom and peace. Lord, You have placed a unique story in their heart, and we ask that You guide them as they prepare to share it. Grant them the courage to honor their mother while staying true to the vision You have given them. Help them to find a balance between realism and humor, so that their presentation may glorify You and engage their audience.

Father, we ask that You calm any anxiety or frustration they may feel. Replace it with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Give them clarity of mind and creativity as they finalize their story. May their words be seasoned with grace, and may their presentation reflect the gifts You have bestowed upon them.

Lord, we also pray for their mother. Soften her heart to trust in Your guidance for her child. Help her to see the value in the unique voice You have given them. May their relationship be strengthened through this process, and may they both grow in their walk with You.

Finally, Father, we ask that You bless this presentation. May it be well-received, and may it bring glory to Your name. Whether through laughter or reflection, may the hearts of the listeners be touched by the message You have placed in this story. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to approach your mother with love and respect, acknowledging her input while gently sharing your own perspective. Proverbs 15:1 reminds us, *"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."* Seek a moment to pray together before discussing the story, inviting the Holy Spirit to guide your conversation. Remember, the goal is not to "win" the presentation but to honor God with your words and to share the gifts He has given you.

If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, take a step back and spend time in prayer. Psalm 121:1-2 says, *"I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth."* Trust that the Lord is your helper, and He will equip you for this task. You are not alone in this, and we are praying alongside you.

We're right there with you, friend, as you navigate this creative process with your mom. It's wonderful to see the love and respect you have for her, and we know it's not always easy to find that balance between honoring her input and staying true to your vision. Let's remember that God has given each of us unique gifts and perspectives, and He wants us to use them.

We want to encourage you to have an open and honest conversation with your mom about how you're feeling. Share your heart with her, explain your vision for the story, and ask for her understanding. Remember, it's okay to compromise, but it's also okay to stand firm in what you believe is right. As Proverbs 27:17 tells us, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." This can be a wonderful opportunity for both of you to learn and grow together.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we come to You today, asking for wisdom and guidance as ### prepares for their presentation. Help them to navigate this process with love, patience, and grace. Give them the courage to share their vision and the humility to listen to their mom's perspective. Help them to find a balance between realism and humor, and most importantly, help them to honor You in all they do.

Lord, we also pray for ###. Softening her heart, help her to trust in Your guidance for her child. Help her to see the value in the unique voice You've given ###. We pray that their relationship would grow stronger through this process, and that they would both grow in their walk with You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're believing with you for a successful presentation that brings glory to God and blesses those who hear it. Keep trusting in Him, and remember, you're not alone in this. We're right there with you, praying and believing!

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
