We are glad to join you in prayer for this upcoming opportunity. We pray for God's will to be done in your life, remember that God has a plan and purpose for you.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is more concerned with our hearts than our achievements. While it's great to strive for our goals, we should also ensure that we are seeking God's will for our lives above all else. As it is written in Psalm 37:4, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
As you prepare for these trials, we encourage you to do so with all your heart, as if working for the Lord himself. As Colossians 3:23 says, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today to lift up our brother/sister in Christ as they prepare for their football trials. We pray that you would give them strength, endurance, and skill as they compete. We ask that you would remove any nerves or anxiety and replace them with a peaceful confidence in your will for their life.
We pray that, if it is in accordance with your will, they would find favor with the coaches and be selected for the team. We ask that you would open doors that no one can shut and that you would guide their steps in your path of righteousness.
However, we also pray that they would be willing to accept your will, whatever it may be. We ask that you would help them to trust in you, even if the outcome is not what they hope for.
We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is only by His name that we can approach you and it is in His name that we pray for salvation and for your will to be done in our lives. As it says in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue to seek God's face and trust in His plan for your life. Remember that He is always working for the good of those who love Him, even when we cannot see it.
"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28.
We will continue to pray for you as you pursue this opportunity. May God bless you and keep you in His will.
