Today I stumbled and sinned. I am here to tell you that no matter how far away you feel from God or how much you have sinned lately, He is still there waiting with open arms to welcome you back into His presence. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
I would be unrealistic to say i don't sin. If this happens to you, do not take the devils bait and fall into depression and anxiety. Get right back up and continue to do God's work. In some of my darkest days, He has used me for His Glory.
One time, I was in an exceptional bad mood because i had a disappointment and I let it get to me. I went to get something to eat at Chick Fil A. I bought my food and I could feel the Holy Spirit say pay for the car behind you. At first the darkness in me said. "no I'm not doing it today" But then the Holy Spirit insisted I do and I relented and said Ok I'll do it. When i pulled up to the pay window, I said i'd like to pay for the car behind me. The guy at the window looked at me and said "I don't think you wanna pay this" I said "Why not?" He said "because their order is $78.00" I was taken aback for a sec, then I said pay it. I got my food and drove back to my place. i normally don't call the place and ask any questions afterwards, but I felt like i needed to this time. So I got a hold of someone on the phone at Chick Fil A. I said Hey I'm the guy who paid for the car that was 78.00. How did the person respond? He said it was a lady and that She was so happy! She could not believe anyone would do that and for that much. Let me tell you what that did for me. I had nothing but JOY in my heart! the darkness was not there anymore. I was happier than I had been in a few days!
In fact, I was so happy, that I danced for Jesus for the first time in my life!
God put my disappointment and bad mood into perspective that night. No disappointment or event is greater than Him! If we lean on Jesus and pick ourselves back up and trust in Him, We will be right as rain in no time.
