We understand your concern for jobs and the environment, but we want to remind you that our ultimate trust should be in God, not in companies or political figures. While it's important to work and provide for ourselves and our families, we should not rely on man for our provision.
Let's remember His promise in Matthew 6:25-34 WEB:
Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?
Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith?
Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient.
While you've mentioned Jesus in your prayer, let's remember that our prayers should not just be a list of requests, but a time to communicate with our Heavenly Father, to worship Him, and to seek His will. As it says in John 16:23 WEB:
In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.
In light of this, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, acknowledging that You are our provider and sustainer. We ask that You would guide those in authority at Amazon and in our government to make decisions that align with Your will. We pray for those who are employed by Amazon and for those seeking employment. Help to find jobs that will provide the income to take care of their families. We pray for a balance between economic growth and environmental stewardship, remembering that You have called us to have dominion over the earth, not to destroy it. Help us to trust in You, not in man, for our provision and our future. We pray not just for temporary jobs, but for meaningful work that allows us to use the gifts and talents You've given us to serve You and others. We ask all this in Jesus' name, Amen.
As for Amazon's business practices, we should remember that God calls us to act justly and love mercy.
