Get a girlfriend/wife

Phraeton

Disciple of Prayer
I want a girlfriend who could eventually become my wife. Someone beautiful and feminine, with solid values—and preferably someone of faith. A woman I can honor every day, and who can honor me in return, in a union built on respect, open communication, love, and mutual admiration.

We hear your heart’s longing for a godly wife, a woman of beauty, both inside and out, who shares your faith and values. Your desire for a marriage built on honor, love, and mutual respect is beautiful and aligns with God’s design for holy matrimony. The Word tells us, "He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord" (Proverbs 18:22 WEB). Marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s love for His church, and it is right to seek it with reverence and intentionality.

First, we must examine our own hearts before seeking a spouse. Are you walking closely with the Lord, growing in godliness, and preparing yourself to be the husband God calls you to be? "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33 WEB). A strong marriage is built on two individuals who are first committed to Christ. Pray for wisdom, patience, and discernment as you seek a wife who loves the Lord above all else. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). A shared faith is the foundation of a godly union.

We also encourage you to pursue this relationship with purity and patience. The world often promotes dating without purpose, but Scripture calls us to courtship with marriage as the goal. Guard your heart and hers by honoring God in your interactions. "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s" (1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB). Save intimacy for marriage, where it belongs, as a gift from God to be cherished.

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up this brother who seeks a godly wife. Lord, You know the desires of his heart, and we ask that You would prepare him to be the husband You’ve called him to be. Fill him with Your wisdom, patience, and discernment as he seeks a woman who loves You above all else. Father, we pray for the woman You have for him, knit their hearts together in faith, love, and purpose. Guard their steps, their emotions, and their purity as they draw closer to You and to one another. May their relationship honor You in every way, and may it be a testimony of Your grace and goodness. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord in this journey, trusting that He will guide your steps. Surround yourself with godly community, men and women who can encourage you, pray for you, and hold you accountable. Attend church faithfully, serve where you are called, and remain open to how God may bring this woman into your life. "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4 WEB). Your future wife is also praying for you, so trust in God’s perfect timing.

We hear the ache behind your words, and we’re grateful you shared this desire. Wanting a wife who is both beautiful and firm in her faith, someone you can honor and who honors you, that’s not a shallow wish. It points to a longing for a deep, mutual partnership, and we’re praying with you as you seek that.

One thing we’ve found helpful when seeking God’s guidance in this area is to hold our “list” with an open hand. It’s natural to picture the qualities we admire, but sometimes God shapes our character and surprises us with a person we’d never have scripted. Real intimacy grows less from an ideal checklist and more from two imperfect people choosing to love, forgive, and build together. So as you pray, ask God to refine what you’re looking for into what will truly sustain a lifelong covenant.

A practical step you can take right now is to invest deeply in Christian community. Don’t just attend church, serve somewhere, join a small group, or find a ministry where you work alongside others. These are the kinds of settings where you see someone’s character in action over time, and where friendships can develop naturally. Also, invite a mature, trusted friend or couple to speak into your journey; sometimes they see what we can’t, and their counsel is an often-overlooked way God guides.

As you wait, keep becoming the kind of man who can lead a relationship with honor, honesty, and Christlike love. That daily work is never wasted.

Let’s pray:

Father, thank You for planting this desire for a godly wife in our friend’s heart. Give him patience and clear-eyed wisdom, and protect him from settling for less than Your best. Surround him with faithful community, and in Your perfect timing bring a woman of genuine faith, one with whom he can build a life that honors You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

With effectual prayer worship and continually faith in God i think its possible to find love. May Lord Yeshua and Fatger God watch over you for a blessing. The waiting is the hardest part but that's the growth. In the process that's where we do our best growing especially towards faith. Thank you Father. Thank you Lord Yeshua. Thank you Holy Spirit. Amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift these prayers up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

To ask the Lord for a wife is no small petition. It is a right and sacred thing when a man desires a helpmeet suited to him, and I would encourage you to bring this matter daily before the throne of grace. Yet let your request be seasoned with holy wisdom. You speak of a beautiful and feminine woman, and I will not chide you for that, for the daughters of Eve may indeed be fair to look upon. But remember, charm is deceitful and beauty is fleeting; it is a woman who fears the Lord who is to be praised. What is the bloom of the cheek if the heart is a stranger to the fear of God? Seek first one whose inward adornment is the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, and you shall have a treasure that time cannot wither.

Then you mention solid values, and this is well said. Solid values are not those that shift with the fashions of the age, but those anchored in the Word of God. Let her be one whose principles are the same as her mother’s godly precepts, and her grandmother’s before her, for the best way of life for any young woman is to walk in the path her godly ancestors have trod. And if you would find such a one, you must yourself be a man of solid values. The Christian who does not Christianize his daily life is a savorless salt, and I charge you to be out-and-out for Christ in business, in conversation, and in all company, so that you may be worthy of a woman after God’s own heart.

You long for a union of mutual honor, open communication, love, and admiration. That is near the very crown of marriage. In a true marriage, the husband and wife become one, and their delight is in each other. I recall the Persian nobleman’s wife, who when asked if the king was the finest man, said no, for to her, her husband was the fairest. So let it be: that each esteems the other better than themselves, and honor flows both ways. But remember that such a union is not built in a day. It is forged through prayer, through bearing one another’s burdens, and through the school of resignation to God’s will. What if sickness or trial come? Will you still honor, still communicate, still love? A Christian marriage is not a mere contract for fair weather, but a covenant that shines brightest in the storm.

Above all, seek a woman of faith, not merely one who bears the name, but whose life is a living epistle of Christ. I have little confidence in a secret believer. If she is Christ’s, she will not be hidden; her speech will be seasoned with salt, and her deeds will betray her Master. And let it be the same with you. Do not suppose you can be a Christian in the prayer meeting and a worldling in the parlor. Be the same man everywhere, and God will guide you to one who can walk with you as an heir together of the grace of life.

Do not be in haste. Wait on the Lord. He who made Eve from Adam’s side while he slept knows the one fitted for you. And while you wait, make yourself ready, not in outward show, but in the inner man. The true marriage of the Lamb with His Church is the pattern; let your earthly marriage be a dim reflection of that glorious union. Then, when God in His kind providence brings her to your side, you will say with joy, “Her price is far above rubies.” Until that hour, let your heart say to the Lord, “Not my will, but Thine be done,” for He who spared not His own Son will with Him freely give you all things.

Your longing for a wife is not wrong, but take care lest the outward form deceive you. You say you desire a woman beautiful and feminine, of solid values and faith. Yet many seek such things and fall into ruin because they put confidence in the appearance and not in the soul. The garment is life and practice, not the shape of the face. For faith without works is dead, and a marriage without holiness kept by both partners becomes a snare.

Consider what marriage truly is. It does not give holiness but preserves that holiness which comes from faith. It is a safeguard against defilement, not a license for self-indulgence. So the wife you seek must be one who helps you keep your purity, who shares not only your bed but your devotion to the Lord. Let her faith become effectual by works, and let your own be no idle profession. Seek a woman with whom you may have mutual comfort in your common faith, for the soul that finds a companion in the same struggles is refreshed and strengthened.

Do not imagine that a wife exists merely to honor you or receive your honor. Remember the marriage of Christ and His Church. The Bridegroom did not wait for the bride to climb up to Him; He descended to her in her lowliness and lifted her up. So you must be prepared to love sacrificially, not only to admire. And she, in turn, must cling to the Bridegroom with grateful fidelity, not with vanity.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. You do not yet see the woman you will marry, but let your hope have substance by trusting God and by ordering your life now in chastity and prayer. Do not cast about anxiously. Instead, be the kind of man a godly woman can honor, not in outward show, but in a life of virtue, patience, and love for Christ. Then, when the Lord sees fit, He will bring you together, and your union will be built on the rock of a shared faith, not on shifting sand.
