We lift you up before the Lord together and we hear how heavy your heart is right now and how many burdens you are carrying at once. We bring your dad before the Father and ask for His healing hand upon him, and we bring your own body before Him after this concussion when your head hit a branch. We ask God to restore you physically, to heal the effects of this injury and to guard your mind and body. We pray that He will be your refuge and strength in this weakness, for we know He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3 and that He has promised I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds Jeremiah 30:17. We also ask Him to draw near to you as you ask for His presence, for He is near to those who are brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 and when we draw near to God He will draw near to us James 4:8.

We want to speak tenderly but also truthfully about how worthless you feel and the lie that the devil has won over this area of your life your entire life. That is not the truth of who you are. We rebuke that lie in Jesus name, for you are fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14 and you are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works Ephesians 2:10. Your worth is not measured by whether you have children, whether you become a pastor, whether you have work or money, or by any role you fill. Your worth is rooted in Christ who loved you and gave Himself for you. Nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord Romans 8:38-39 and we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us Romans 8:37. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4, so the enemy has not won. We stand together against that lifelong attack you have felt and we declare that Jesus has already won the victory.

We hear your deep scream for children and for marriage and for running a church, and we understand that longing is real and God given, for children are a heritage of the Lord Psalm 127:3 and marriage is a holy and lifelong commitment between a man and a woman as God designed it. We strongly affirm God's good design for marriage and we pray that if it is His will He will lead you into a godly courtship with a fellow believer with the goal of marriage that honors Him, not simply a relationship or partnership but a covenant marriage. We also want to gently correct the belief that you are worthless unless you have children and that you can never become a pastor unless you have children. That is not what Scripture teaches. The calling to shepherd is from God, and the qualifications for an overseer include being faithful, self controlled, and managing his own household well 1 Timothy 3:1-2, 1 Timothy 3:4-5, but a man is not disqualified from serving God or from being valuable to the Kingdom because he is single or does not yet have children, and having children does not in itself make a man a pastor. God can use you mightily right now, whether married or unmarried, whether you have children or not, and we pray you will see that your identity and calling rest in Christ first. We pray for God's perfect will regarding a wife, children, and any future ministry, and we trust that He knows the desires of your heart and will lead you according to His wisdom and timing. We also hear you say it feels impossible to get married, to have children, and to become a pastor, and we want to remind you that with God all things are possible when we submit to His will, yet even if His path looks different than you expect, His grace is sufficient for you and His power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9.

We bring your need for work and provision before the Lord as well, including your desire to do archaeology in Israel and to use the experience God has given you. We pray He will open doors for meaningful work and supply what you need, for our God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19 and He has good plans for you to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. We ask Him to guide your steps, to make clear where He wants you to serve and how He wants your gifts to be used for His glory.

We rejoice that you want to know that Jesus loves you, and we want to assure you He does, more deeply than you can imagine, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by calling on the name of Jesus and trusting in His death and resurrection that we are saved and brought into God's family, and we pray you will rest daily in that love and assurance.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift this dear one to Your throne of grace. We ask You to touch his dad with healing and strength, to completely heal this concussion and restore his body and mind, and to restore him physically in every area the enemy has attacked for so long. Lord, break the lies of worthlessness and let him feel Your presence powerfully, let him know beyond doubt that he is loved, chosen, and valued in Christ. Father, we place his longing for marriage and for children in Your hands, Your will be done, provide a godly wife if it is Your plan, and help him to pursue courtship that honors You, and redeem his desire for ministry so that he will serve You faithfully wherever You place him, whether as a pastor or in any other calling You have for him. Provide for his work and finances, open the way for him to use his experience for Your purposes, even in Israel if that is Your will, and let him see that You are working all things together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28. We rebuke the voice that says the devil has won and we declare Christ's victory over his life. Hold him close, Father, do not let him fear, for You have said do not be afraid, for I am with you Isaiah 41:10, and cast all his anxiety on You because You care for him 1 Peter 5:7. Let Your peace guard his heart and let Your presence be his daily comfort. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, amen.

We hear how much you are carrying right now. Your dad's health, the hit to your head, the deep ache for children and for marriage, the longing to pastor and to use your experience in Israel, and that painful sense of worthlessness and being under attack for so long. It makes sense that you are crying out for God's presence and to know that Jesus loves you.

Since you mentioned being concussed after hitting your head on a branch, we want to encourage you gently to have that checked promptly by a doctor or urgent care, alongside our prayers for your healing. Please let someone near you know how you are feeling physically and seek care quickly if symptoms worsen.

We also hear the deep longing for children and for a calling that feels blocked, and the thought that your worth depends on those things. We do not see you as worthless at all. We see someone God has made with care, whose value is not measured by marriage or children or a title, even while those desires are real and tender. It can help to share these burdens steadily with a trusted pastor or counselor and with your doctor about how low you feel, so you are not carrying them alone.

Jesus, we lift this brother and his dad to you. Bring healing and care for his head and body, watch over his father, and let him know in a deep way that he is loved and seen by you. In this long battle where he feels the enemy has won, guard him and draw near. Give wisdom for work and provision, and guide his gifts and hopes for the future according to your good will. Amen.

Your cry has come before us and we have carried it to the throne of grace, for the Lord hears those who cry unto Him in their trouble and saves them out of their distresses.

We have prayed for your father, that the Lord in His mercy would lay His hand upon him for healing and strength, and for you also in this concussion where your head struck the branch, that the Sun of Righteousness who has risen with healing in His wings would be near to you. When Jesus healed the sick He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, and pardon and healing are one in His hands. Whether He restores at once or leaves some infirmity for other purposes benign and useful, we pray that you may know His presence as your physician and your peace, and that you will be diligent in the Word of God, for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, and it is the Word applied by the Holy Spirit, even Christ Himself who is the Word, that heals sin sick souls.

You write that you feel so worthless and that the devil has won, that you have been attacked in this area all your life and now scream for the presence of God and for children. Hear this, that this thought of worthlessness is one of Satan's arrows, and it must be broken in pieces. If you are in Christ you are not worthless. You wear the perfect righteousness of Christ, and arrayed in that precious robe you can face every accusation without alarm, for who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect, it is God that justifies. The Lord has not measured your value by your strength or your usefulness, but by the price He paid for you, the gift of His only begotten and well beloved Son to die for His people, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God. His thoughts toward you are everlasting thoughts of love, and He cannot take pleasure in seeing you suffer without purpose. He has broken the gates of brass and cut the bars of iron in sunder, and though the enemy would have you sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, bound in affliction and iron, the Lord still brings His people out of darkness when they cry to Him.

You speak of your deep longing for children and for marriage, and the fear that you will never marry and never have children, and that you will never become a pastor or run a church unless you have children. We pray that the Lord will give you to know in your inward parts that you are loved of Jesus, not because you have attained these things, but because He has set His love upon you freely. Marriage, as God ordained it, is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and children are a heritage of the Lord, good gifts from His hand when He is pleased to give them. Yet your worth before God and your fitness to serve Him do not rest upon whether you are married or have children. A man is made fit for service not by his own worth but by the work of Christ for him and the work of Christ in him by the Holy Spirit. If the Lord calls you to pastoral ministry, He will open that door in His time and according to His Word, and if He calls you to serve Him in another station, that service is no less precious when done for the Lord Jesus Christ in the family and in daily labour. Do all for Him there, and let gratitude for strength received impel you to activity where you are.

For your work and for the desire to do archaeology in Israel and to use your experience, we have prayed that the Lord would provide what is needed according to His wisdom and open the right path, and that whatever knowledge and experience He has given you may be used to promote the cause of Christ and to feed your soul and make you grow in love to God and in likeness to Christ. We have prayed also for your body, that God would restore you physically as it pleases Him, and that you would know His presence not as a distant hope but as a present dwelling, for when the Lord comes and dwells with His people they have no need to say they are sick, for He is their health.

May the Lord turn your screaming into singing, and cause you to praise Him for His goodness and for His wonderful works to the children of men. We pray that you will hear the voice that says, Oh that men would praise the Lord, and that you will exalt Him in the congregation of His people, trusting that He who has begun a good work in you will not leave you, but will keep you till you are far from a world of grief and sin, with God eternally shut in, for ever blest.

We commend you to Him now, that He would hold you up and you shall be safe, that He would let you see the look of Christ which restored Peter, and remember that Christ has prayed for you, and that His prayer has power to keep you from falling utterly. May the Lord grant you faith to cling to the cross, to hear His Word daily, and to know beyond all doubt that Jesus loves you and has discharged your debt to the utmost farthing by His blood.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have read your honest cry and we are bringing your requests before the Lord with you. Thank you for sharing so openly about your pain, your longing, and your hurts.

First, please know that your worth is not measured by whether you are married, whether you have children, or whether you hold a particular ministry role. Scripture teaches that your worth is given by God Himself. You are made in His image, and if you are in Christ, you are fully loved, forgiven, and valued because Jesus shed His blood for you. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and His love for you does not rise or fall with your circumstances. You are not worthless. You are deeply seen and loved by God.

Your longing for marriage and for children is a deep and human longing, and God understands the ache of that desire. Children are a gift from the Lord, and marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, with the gift of intimacy belonging within that covenant. Wanting these things is not wrong, but they are not what makes you worthy before God or necessarily what qualifies you for service to Him. The Apostle Paul himself served the Lord faithfully as a single man, and many faithful servants in Scripture and in the church have served without being married or having children. Pastoral ministry is a high and holy calling with clear biblical qualifications, but God does not call only fathers, and He certainly does not call only those who feel worthy in themselves. God often chooses ordinary and weak people to show His strength. If you sense a call to ministry, seek the counsel of mature pastors and your local church, stay rooted in Scripture, and let them help you discern how God may use your gifts and experience, whether in a pastoral role or in other faithful service.

We are praying for you in these specific ways.

We pray for your father, that God would strengthen his health and give wisdom to those caring for him.

We pray for your own body after your concussion when your head hit the branch. We ask God to restore you physically and to give you healing. Please also continue to seek proper medical care and rest as you recover, as God often brings healing through those means.

We pray for your heart as you have felt attacked for so long and as you feel the enemy has won. The devil is called the ruler of the darkness of this world, but he has no power over Christ, and Christ has won the victory through His cross and resurrection. In Christ, the enemy does not have the final word over your life.

We pray for your work and for provision. We bring before God your desire to do archaeology in Israel and to use your experience for good. We ask Him to open the right doors, to provide what you need, and to guide you with wisdom about next steps.

Above all we pray that you will know how much Jesus loves you and that you will experience His presence. God draws near to the brokenhearted. We pray He will quiet the scream in your heart with His peace, not necessarily by removing every longing at once, but by showing you daily that you are held, that you are not alone, and that His grace is sufficient for today.

Father in heaven, we lift this dear one to You. You see his pain, his longing for children and for Your presence, his feeling of worthlessness, and his physical hurt. Comfort him with the truth that he is loved in Christ. Heal his body from this concussion and strengthen his father. Provide for his needs in work and guide his desires for the future according to Your perfect will. Help him to hear Your voice in Scripture, to stay close to Your people, and to know that Jesus has already won the victory for him. Give him hope and restore him day by day. In the name of Jesus our only Savior, amen.

Please stay connected to a local church where pastors can know you, pray with you face to face, and walk with you in the days ahead. You are not forgotten. Keep seeking the Lord, keep asking for His presence, and trust that He hears you even when the answer is not yet clear.
