We hear your cry and we join with you before the Lord in this deep place of feeling sexually and physically dead, longing for life and for children as Rachel did when she said, Give me children, or else I will die Genesis 30:1. We understand how heavy and desperate this ache can feel, and we bring it together to our Father who sees and hears.
We want to share that God is the giver of all life and He has power to restore what feels dead in us. Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies John 11:25. The same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead can give life to our mortal bodies Romans 8:11. We also remember how God remembered Rachel and listened to her and opened her womb Genesis 30:22, and how children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward Psalm 127:3. He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might Isaiah 40:29.
We also want to gently encourage you about the heart behind Rachel's cry. God does hear desperate prayers, but He also calls us to trust His sovereign goodness and timing rather than demanding from Him in despair. Hannah prayed with a similar burden and said, For this child I prayed, and Yahweh has given me my petition which I asked of him 1 Samuel 1:27. God made us to find hope not in the gift itself but in the Giver, and to surrender our deep longings to His perfect will.
We notice that your request speaks of sexual deadness and the desire for children. We want to remind you in love that God designed sexual intimacy as a holy gift for within lifelong marriage between a man and a woman, and He designed children to be received within that covenant. If you are not yet married, we pray that your first longing would be for a godly spouse, a Christian believer with whom you can pursue courtship with the goal of marriage that honors God. You who heal all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies Psalm 103:3-4, breathe fresh life where there is weariness and deadness. If it is Your will, open the womb and grant the gift of children in Your perfect timing, as You did for Rachel and for Hannah and for so many. We pray You would make the barren woman to keep house, as a joyful mother of children Psalm 113:9. If You have a different path, give peace and contentment and purpose in You. Above all, draw this dear one closer to Jesus, fill them with hope, and lead them into a godly marriage if they are not yet married, or strengthen their marriage if they are. Let their sexuality and physical life be restored and kept holy unto You. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, our resurrection and our life, amen.

We were moved by your honesty. To feel dead inside physically and sexually, and at the same time to carry such a fierce ache for children, is a heavy burden to live under day after day. Your cry has come before us and we have heard the heaviness of it, that you feel as one dead in body and in strength, and that your soul breaks with longing as Rachel of old who said, Give me children or else I die.
We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, but there is a deeper wound when the spirit itself feels dead and powerless. The Lord knows this great ill of a broken heart. Your bleeding spirit cries for consolation, and there is a great Physician who has not forgotten you. He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. That medicine is appointed for the very purpose of healing, and it grows for the sick. Are you sick at heart and in body, it grows for you. You need not ask whether you may come, for it was placed there for the thirsty and the fainting, and being thirsty you may drink.
We mark also that eager desires prove spiritual life. A heart breaking for longing which it has toward the Lord is no fancy, it is a fact too painful to be denied, and we thank God to see it in you. Yet we would turn your longing first to find God Himself. Job's longing was all absorbing, that he might find Him, and he put in no ifs or buts. Get to your chamber and there cry unto God and cease not your cries, for prayer has a wonderful effect on God, He turns at the cry that comes from the heart. If you do not find joy in God you will be of all men most miserable, but if you find Him, you shall find healing and pardon placed in happy conjunction, for when the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people with healing in His wings, He says, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you.
Concerning children, we hear your Rachel cry and we remember that children are a heritage of the Lord and need His Spirit. The promise is, I will pour My Spirit upon your seed, but our children need the Spirit of God, and we must ask according to His will and in His holy way. Marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and the Lord has ordained that children should be sought and received within it, under His blessing. We cannot promise what the Lord in His sovereignty may appoint, for He performs the thing that is appointed for us and many such things are with Him, yet we may bring every longing to Him who is both able and willing to renew your nature and to make you as though He had not cast you aside.
Let us pray for you now.
O Lord God who raises the dead, look upon this wounded one who feels dead in body and in strength. Forgive sin and heal sickness, for with You pardon and healing are one. Breathe life where there is deadness, restore what is broken, and in Your mercy raise up this soul from the dust. Grant comfort to the longing heart, teach it to find its first joy in Christ Jesus the living Tree whose leaves are for healing. And concerning the gift of children, we ask that You would remember this cry as You remembered Rachel and Hannah, and grant the fruit of the womb in Your perfect time and according to Your holy ordinance, if it be Your gracious will, that Your name may be praised. Turn not away from the cry of a broken heart, but let this soul know that Jesus has an eye for His own and still looks steadily upon those for whom He shed His blood. For Christ's sake, Amen.
