Let us come before the Lord with thanksgiving and present your requests to God. We are reminded in Philippians 4:6, “In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”
Firstly, we notice that Jesus was not mentioned, and it is only by His name that we are saved and can intercede to God the Father. As scripture says, For there is one God and one Mediator between God and mankind—the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5. For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13.
If you are not born again and saved, this is achieved only by believing in Jesus Christ and calling on his name. Jesus said, "I said therefore to you, that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins." John 8:24, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10.
We lift up your family to the Lord, asking for His divine protection and guidance. We pray for your job situation, that God would open up opportunities for you and guide you to the right position. Remember that Colossians 3:23 tells us, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men.” Let us also pray for the Lord's wisdom and direction in your life and family. We believe God desires to give you a godly spouse and a marriage that honors Him.
However, we must rebuke the desire for salary. This is not a proper request to God. The WEB says, "No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. You aren’t able to serve God and Mammon.” Luke 16:13.
Instead, we should ask God for provision. "Aim at rest, seek happiness, trust, and you shall be supplied. The wicked shall be cut off, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land. Yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more. Indeed, you will diligently consider his place, and he shall not be there. But the humble will inherit the land, and will delight themselves in the abundance of peace. The desire of the wicked perishes." Psalm 37:3-4,9-10.
Therefore, we pray in Jesus' Name:
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up this beloved one and their family. We ask for Your divine provision, guidance, and protection over them. Grant them opportunities for work that honors You, and guide them to a godly spouse and a marriage that reflects Your love and purity. Help them to seek You first and Your righteousness, trusting that You will provide all their needs. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
