We stand in agreement with you, lifting up this powerful declaration from Scripture: *"I also tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it"* (Matthew 16:18 WEB). What a mighty truth! The gates of hell *cannot* prevail against Christ’s church—His body, His bride, His redeemed. We take hold of this promise with you, declaring that no scheme of the enemy will stand against those who are in Christ Jesus.
Yet we must also examine our hearts and posture before the Lord. While we boldly claim victory in Jesus’ name, we must ensure our requests align with His will and character. Justice is indeed a biblical principle—*"The Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed"* (Psalm 103:6 WEB)—but we must be careful not to confuse divine justice with personal vengeance. The Lord says, *"Vengeance is mine; I will repay"* (Romans 12:19 WEB). Our role is to trust Him, walk in obedience, and let Him execute justice in His perfect timing and way.
We also notice that while you invoke the blood of Jesus—a powerful and necessary truth—your prayer does not explicitly mention His name as the only mediator between God and man. Scripture is clear: *"There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
