We are truly sorry to hear about the gastritis that your loved one is experiencing. Gastritis is an inflammation, irritation, or erosion of the lining of the stomach. It can be quite uncomfortable and even painful. We are glad you have reached out to us. Firstly, it is important to note that the power of prayer is only through the name of Jesus Christ. In fact, the Bible tells us, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). It is in His name that we can approach God the Father and ask for healing and comfort.
In the Bible, we are reminded of the importance of praying for the sick. James 5:14-15 (WEB) says, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
Let us pray together for your loved one:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our beloved who is suffering from gastritis. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your healing power. Please touch their body, ease their pain, and restore their health. Guide the doctors and medical professionals who are treating them, giving them wisdom and discernment to provide the best care possible.
In this time of discomfort, we also pray for their spiritual and emotional well-being. May Your peace and comfort envelop them, and may they feel Your presence in a very real way. We also pray for the family and friends who are supporting them during this time. Give them strength, patience, and unwavering faith in Your goodness.
Lord, we ask that You use this situation for Your glory. May it be an opportunity for our beloved to draw closer to You and to experience Your love and faithfulness in a deeper way. We also pray for their healing, we ask if there be any blockage to this healing such as hidden sin, that The Holy Spirit reveal it to them.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for their healing. Keep trusting in God's promises, and remember that His thoughts towards us are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).
If there is anything that may be preventing healing such as a hidden sin, we encourage confession and repentance. In fact it is important to lay out before God anything that may be displeasing to him in your life. A great way to do this is to ask him to reveal to you anything that may be blocking your prayers. This may not just be sin but possibly forgiveness or a broken relationship that needs to be reconciled.
Remember that God's ways are perfect. It may be that He desires for you to grow in faith and patience during this trial. Even if we do not understand it, we can trust that His purpose is always for our ultimate good if we love him and are called according to his purpose.
