Praise be to God. I believe I have been tried to be coerced sexually. I did stop way before that but my ex boyfriend did want to do that. This is very destabilizing and I tried to talk to him about this issue but he completely blamed me. I am very confused how someone could have two faces at once, act perfectly to you and promise marriage and then push your boundaries in awful manners, and then blame you. I made it very clear to him I didn't want intimate relations before marriage. Very clear. I pray for his redemption and that he will ever understand and ask for my forgiveness for what he did to me. And for me to ever get over this. He keeps saying he did nothing wrong, but he did. I feel gaslighted. In Jesus name, Amen.

We hear your pain and confusion, and we stand with you in seeking God’s truth and healing. What you’ve described is deeply troubling, coercion, manipulation, and the violation of your boundaries are not only sinful but also contrary to the love and respect that should characterize any relationship, especially one that professes to honor God. The fact that he promised marriage while pressuring you for intimacy is a grave contradiction, and his refusal to acknowledge his wrongdoing is a form of gaslighting, which is itself a form of emotional abuse. We rebuke this behavior in the name of Jesus Christ, for Scripture is clear: "Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes on the sons of disobedience. Therefore don’t be partakers with them" (Ephesians 5:6-7).

You were right to set boundaries and to walk away. Your commitment to purity is commendable and aligns with God’s design for marriage and intimacy. "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). The fact that he dismissed your "no" and then blamed you is not only unjust but also reveals a heart that is not submitted to God’s will. We pray that the Holy Spirit convicts him of his sin and leads him to genuine repentance. However, we must also warn you: do not entertain the idea of reconciling with someone who refuses to take responsibility for their actions. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). Even if he claims to be a believer, his actions speak louder than his words.

The confusion and destabilization you feel are understandable. When someone we trust betrays us, it shakes our sense of reality. But we declare over you that God’s truth is your anchor. "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit" (Psalm 34:18). You are not to blame for his sin, and you are not responsible for his redemption. That is between him and God. Your role now is to guard your heart, seek healing, and walk in the freedom Christ has given you. "Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist" (Ephesians 6:14). The enemy would love to keep you trapped in shame, doubt, and fear, but we rebuke those lies in Jesus’ name. You are a daughter of the King, and your worth is not defined by his actions or words.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister who has been wounded by deception and manipulation. Lord, You see the pain she carries, the confusion she feels, and the injustice she has endured. We ask that You would be her refuge and strength, a very present help in this time of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Father, we pray for her healing, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. Mend the broken places in her heart and restore her sense of safety and truth. Help her to see herself as You see her: fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), precious in Your sight, and covered by the blood of Jesus.

Lord, we also pray for her ex-boyfriend. We ask that You would soften his heart and open his eyes to the gravity of his sin. Convict him of the ways he has dishonored You, her, and the sanctity of marriage. Bring him to a place of genuine repentance, not just for what he has done, but for the hardness of heart that allowed him to justify it. If it is Your will, Father, we ask that You would draw him to salvation or deeper into relationship with You, but we also ask that You protect her from any further harm or manipulation. Give her the wisdom to discern his true character and the strength to walk away if he remains unrepentant.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of gaslighting and deception that has tried to distort her reality. We declare that the truth of Your Word will prevail in her life. Fill her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and surround her with godly community, believers who will speak life, encouragement, and truth into her situation. Help her to release any bitterness or unforgiveness, not because he deserves it, but because You have called us to forgive as You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13). Guard her heart from cynicism or fear in future relationships, and help her to trust in Your timing and Your plan for her life.

Lord, we ask that You would restore her joy and her hope. Remind her that You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13) and the God who heals (Exodus 15:26). May she find comfort in Your presence and strength in Your promises. We pray that You would lead her to a godly spouse, one who loves You above all else, who honors her as a sister in Christ, and who cherishes the gift of marriage as You intended. Until that time, help her to walk in purity, wisdom, and confidence in who she is in You.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the One who came to bind up the brokenhearted and set the captives free (Isaiah 61:1). Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Spend time in prayer, not just asking God for healing, but also listening for His voice. He longs to speak truth and comfort into your life. Consider seeking out a trusted pastor, counselor, or mature Christian friend who can walk alongside you in this season. You do not have to carry this burden alone.

We also want to gently remind you that healing is a process, and it is okay to grieve what was lost, the trust, the dreams, and the innocence of the relationship. But do not let this experience define you. You are more than what was done to you. You are a child of God, created for a purpose, and nothing can separate you from His love (Romans 8:38-39). The enemy may have intended this for harm, but God can use it for good (Genesis 50:20). Allow Him to redeem this pain and use it to shape you into a woman of even greater strength, wisdom, and compassion.

Lastly, we urge you to examine your own heart as well. It is natural to feel anger, hurt, and even betrayal, but we must guard against bitterness taking root. "Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it" (Hebrews 12:15). Forgiveness does not mean excusing his behavior or pretending it didn’t happen. It means releasing the debt to God and trusting Him to be the righteous Judge. It is a process, and it is okay to take it one day at a time.

You are loved, you are valued, and you are not alone. We stand with you in prayer, and we believe that God will restore what has been broken and lead you into a future filled with hope. "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). Hold fast to that promise.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.
