Beloved of All
Your request has been heard and we join you in prayer for all who are suffering under this relentless harassment and fear.
We ask our merciful God to intervene with power and to stop the hands of those who will not leave these victims alone. We pray that He would bring their hidden actions into the light, restrain evil, grant protection and peace to those who are being pursued, and give wisdom and courage to all who can help them. We pray also for those who do the harassing, that God would convict their hearts, turn them from this wickedness, and lead them to repentance, as Peter urged Simon to repent and pray that the thought of his heart might be forgiven.
We know from Scripture that God at times permits trials and persecutions, not because He has abandoned His people, but to set them above fear and to teach them to trust in the life that does not end. He does not always promise immediate deliverance from every danger, yet He grants something greater, the strength to despise terror and to rest firm in the hope of the soul and the resurrection. Even when persecution scatters and troubles His people, His providence is still ordering events, and He can plant deliverance and good even in the heart of the enemy's country.
Therefore we pray that those who are afflicted would know they are not forgotten, that God sees their suffering and will be their refuge, and that He will comfort them and guard their minds and bodies. And we pray that the Church and all neighbors would not stand aside, but would offer what God has given them for the common good, whether it be protection, diligence, practical help, or teaching and prayer. For each person has a talent from God, and nothing is so pleasing to Him as to live for the advantage of our neighbor, even by one faithful act.
May the Lord grant safety to the victims, justice according to His righteousness, repentance to the offenders, and peace to all who call upon Him. We will continue to remember these poor sufferers before God, asking Him to surround them with His care, to give them rest from fear, and to let them experience His present help and His promise of a better hope to come.
