We understand that you are seeking a full-time, permanent position with full benefits, where you can eventually retire. You also desire a job where you can perform well and have a boss who is respectful, kind, and helpful. We will pray with you for this, but first, let's remember that God cares about our needs and desires, as it says in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."
However, we also need to remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts, as it says in Isaiah 55:8-9:
For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways,
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
So, while we pray for your request, we should also pray that God's will be done in your life, and that He may give you a job that is aligned with His purpose and will bring you closer to Him and a boss that honors God.
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister in need of employment. We ask that You would provide a full-time, permanent position with full benefits, where they can eventually retire. We pray for a job where they can perform well, using the gifts and talents You have given them. We also ask for a boss who is respectful, kind and helpful.
However, we know that Your will is perfect, and Your ways are higher than our ways. So, we ultimately pray that You would give them a job that is aligned with Your purpose for their life. We pray that this job would bring them closer to You and that they would find favor with You and man. We pray for a boss that honors God and can help them grow in many ways.
We also pray that they would trust You in this process, knowing that You are a good Father who gives good gifts to Your children. We pray that they would not be anxious about this, but that they would cast all their worries on You, because You care for them.
We ask this all in Jesus Christ name, because it is in His name that we have access to You.
Amen.
Remember, too, that God is sovereign over all things, including your job search. Trust that He is working everything out for your good and His glory, as it says in Romans 8:28:
We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
