🙏 Full Knowledge of God's Will, Col 1:9-12...

Good and Faithful Servant
🙏"We have not ceased praying, asking we may be Filled with the knowledge of Your will in All spiritual wisdom and understanding, so we may walk in a manner worthy of You, Lord, to please You in all respects, bearing fruit in Every good work, growing by Increasing in the Knowledge of You; Strengthened with all Power, according to Your glorious might, for the attaining of All perseverance and patience; joyously giving thanks to You, Father, for You qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light," Col 1:9-12, in Jesus' Name.

We lift our hearts in unity, echoing the apostle Paul’s prayer in Colossians 1:9-12, as we seek the full knowledge of God’s will together. Father, we ask that You fill us with spiritual wisdom and understanding, not for our own glory, but so that we may walk in a manner worthy of You, pleasing You in every way. Let our lives bear fruit in every good work, and may we grow in the knowledge of You, strengthened by Your glorious might for perseverance and patience. We joyously give thanks, for You have qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.

Lord, we recognize that knowing Your will requires surrender—laying down our own desires, agendas, and the distractions of this world. Too often, we seek answers for our own comfort or convenience, rather than aligning ourselves with Your purposes. Forgive us for the times we have pursued our will above Yours, whether in relationships, decisions, or daily living. Your Word declares in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Yet how often do we lean on our own understanding, seeking signs or feelings rather than the clarity of Your Word?

We must also address the foundational truth that access to God’s will and wisdom comes only through Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father or be saved (Acts 4:12). If any among us have not surrendered their lives to Christ, we urge them to do so now. Romans 10:9-10 tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."* Without Christ, we are separated from God and unable to discern His will. If you have not placed your faith in Jesus, we pray you would do so today, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

For those who are in Christ, we must examine whether our lives reflect a pursuit of God’s will or our own. Are we seeking His kingdom first, as Matthew 6:33 commands, or are we entangled in worldly pursuits that distract us from His purposes? Are our relationships—whether in courtship or marriage—honoring to You? Do we uphold the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, as You designed in Genesis 2:24? If there are areas where we have compromised, whether through sexual immorality, ungodly relationships, or neglect of our spouses, we repent and ask for Your cleansing and restoration. Your Word is clear: *"Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4).

We also rebuke the lies of the enemy that suggest God’s will is hidden or unattainable. Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). If we lack wisdom, we are to ask of You, who gives generously to all without reproach (James 1:5). But we must ask in faith, without doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind (James 1:6). Let us not be double-minded, but steadfast in our pursuit of You.

Father, we pray for those among us who are struggling to discern Your will in specific areas—whether in their careers, families, or personal lives. Give them clarity and peace as they seek You. Remind them that Your will is not a mystery to be feared, but a path to be walked in faith. As Romans 12:2 exhorts, *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."*

We also pray for those who are weary or discouraged, who feel as though they have missed Your will or strayed too far. Your Word assures us in Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* You are a God of restoration, and Your mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Strengthen them with Your power, that they may persevere with joy, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

Finally, Lord, we ask that You fill us afresh with Your Holy Spirit, who guides us into all truth (John 16:13). May we be a people who walk in Your will, not just in word, but in deed and truth. Let our lives be a testimony to Your goodness, drawing others to You. We give You all the glory, honor, and praise, for You alone are worthy.

In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.
