Michael, The one thing to remember is that this young lady that you love has a free will just like you have a free will. So at this time she has chosen to go a different way but that does not mean that God has failed you in any way, shape, or form.
God loves you and He loves her. He died for you both and He wants you both to know Him as He really is but we must never judge God based upon what another person chooses to do with their own free will.
Does that mean that your hopes and dreams are over because of her choices today? No, because people change their minds all the time and she could see that she has made a mistake and start trying to contact you at any time. But ### during this time of praying for this special young lady you love you need to really get to know God Himself.
God has a perfect plan for you and for your life. God is for you and not against you. Anytime anyone is thinking different than that it is because they really have not gotten to know HIM. Matthew 11:28-30 are scriptures that give you a clear indication the way the Lord Jesus Christ feels about you right now. "Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light."
I think these scriptures are letting you know that Jesus Christ wants to help you get through this time you are going through of waiting. That certainly does not make HIM anything but a loving God that cares about what you are going through and that will help you walk this thing out.
Is He going to force your wishes upon the young lady you love? No, and you would not want HIM to do that because she has free will just like you do to make choices but the one thing HE will do is He will allow many opportunities for her to know HIM just like HE is allowing you an opportunity to know HIM and by doing this a lot of changes will take place in your thinking and her thinking and in the direction both your lives will take.
One indication that you are under attack from the enemy is confusion. If we are confused then the enemy is coming against our minds. That is also a place to start praying and asking God for wisdom and the ability for you to start thinking clearly.
The fact ### that you love this young lady is another indication that something very special has taken place in both your lives and that you would dedicate 6 months to praying for her to come back to you means that you are willing to continue to pray for her and to trust God with this love that is in your heart for her. Run to God and stay at His side. Continue to pour your heart out to HIM and find out more and more about HIM and you are going to find out more and more about not only yourself and God but about this love you have that is so precious to you for this young lady.
All these prayers you are investing in her life are not wasted. All the prayers you have spoken to God about her are like seeds planted that can take root and grow into a vast knowledge of what it really means to love someone unconditionally.
Also when we are willing to lay someone that we treasure into the Hands of the Living God who has shown Himself so faithful and so loving and so kind as to have died for us and Who wants nothing but to help us in every way He can to know Him and to really be able to have the abundant life He has died for us to have it is all a win-win situation.
Please start reading in the book of John today and really look to know Jesus Christ as you have never known HIM before. Learn about HIM and I will promise you that you will find HE is alive and HE is longing to make a difference in your life and in the life of your young lady and who knows ### what exciting things lie ahead for you and her both. All love comes from LOVE HIMSELF and so that love you have in your heart is God given. Just something to think on.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
John 13:34
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
John 14:23
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
John 15:12
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7
****************************** Finally ### when we learn how to love like this scripture below describes everything we have ever gone through has been worth it and you will be surprised how the very best God has in this life follows closely to this kind of love. Miracles begin to chase you and your hopes, your dreams and your deepest heart desires begin to take shape all around you.
Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.
It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].
It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.
Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].
Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]. As for prophecy ([d]the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), it will be fulfilled and pass away; as for tongues, they will be destroyed and cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away [it will lose its value and be superseded by truth].
For our knowledge is fragmentary (incomplete and imperfect), and our prophecy (our teaching) is fragmentary (incomplete and imperfect).
But when the complete and perfect (total) comes, the incomplete and imperfect will vanish away (become antiquated, void, and superseded).
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; now that I have become a man, I am done with childish ways and have put them aside.
For now we are looking in a mirror that gives only a dim (blurred) reflection [of reality as [e]in a riddle or enigma], but then [when perfection comes] we shall see in reality and face to face! Now I know in part (imperfectly), but then I shall know and understand [f]fully and clearly, even in the same manner as I have been [g]fully and clearly known and understood [[h]by God].
And so faith, hope, love abide [faith—conviction and belief respecting man’s relation to God and divine things; hope—joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation; love—true affection for God and man, growing out of God’s love for and in us], these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 4-13
