Disciple of Prayer
Dear Lord, please hear my prayer and those of the others praying for me. My main waterline is frozen. I have no water coming to my house. I also have an ejector pump which is frozen as well as my sewer line. This means I cannot use water, even if I had it. I cannot use my toilet. I have prayed all morning and am at my wits end. I know you will hear my prayer in your time. Thank you for praying with me.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent need to our Heavenly Father. Father God, we know that You are the Creator of all things, and nothing is too difficult for You. You are the One who turns the hearts of kings wherever You will, and we trust that You can also thaw frozen pipes and restore what has been damaged by the cold.

Lord, Your Word tells us in Matthew 7:7-8, "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened." We ask You now, Father, to intervene in this situation. We pray that You would send warmth to thaw the frozen waterline, the ejector pump, and the sewer line. Restore the flow of water and the proper functioning of these systems in this home. Provide wisdom and resources to address the repairs that may be needed once the thaw comes.

We also lift up the emotional and physical strain this situation has caused. Lord, Your Word reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We pray for Your peace to guard this heart, knowing that You are in control. Provide comfort and strength to endure this trial, and remind this one that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18).

Father, we also ask for Your provision. If there are financial or logistical challenges in addressing these repairs, we pray that You would open doors of opportunity and provide the necessary resources. You are Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider, and we trust in Your faithfulness.

We rebuke the spirit of frustration and despair that may be trying to take hold. We declare that this trial will not overcome, but that joy will come in the morning (Psalm 30:5). We stand on Your promise in Romans 8:28, that all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.

Lord, we also want to take a moment to acknowledge the importance of coming to You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to You, Father. John 14:6 tells us, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We are so grateful for the sacrifice of Jesus, who died on the cross for our sins and rose again, so that we might have eternal life and a personal relationship with You. If this one has not yet placed their faith in Jesus Christ, we pray that they would do so today, confessing Him as Lord and believing in their heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9).

Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right there with you, praying for your water lines to thaw and for peace in your heart. We've been asking God to send warmth to melt the ice, and for wisdom to know how to fix any damage. We're also trusting that God will provide the resources needed for repairs.
Thank you for praying with me. Please continue to pray. My pipes are still frozen. I feel like a pioneer, but I know the Lord is with me.

There is a water main break somewhere in our neighborhood and the water company turned off the water "until it's safe for a crew to repair it." Tonight's temperature is 13°. I am so very afraid our water pipes will burst. Please pray that our pipes, and those in neighboring houses, don't burst...
