We have read your request and we join with you and your mother in seeking the Lord's wisdom together in Jesus' name. There is much pain and depth in what you have shared about biographical violence, about loneliness, about family, about health and about money, and about the eternity that you, your mother, and Jesus share.
We want to acknowledge first the hope you expressed. That you see eternity as shared with Jesus is a precious truth, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and the promise of eternal life. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. We pray that both you and your mother have each personally placed your faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, for that is the foundation of sharing eternity with Him, not simply by family bond but by being born again into His family, John 3:3.
The violence written into your biography, the wounds of the past, the Lord sees and He does not minimize them. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, Psalm 34:18. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. We do not believe God intends for you to carry that story alone or to use it only to highlight loneliness or family struggle, but to present it as a testimony of His redeeming power. All things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose, Romans 8:28. And the God of all comfort comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God, 2 Corinthians 1:3-4. Your story, when presented in the context of loneliness, speaks to the many who feel forsaken, and when presented in the context of family, speaks to the generational impact of both hurt and healing. Both contexts are valid, but we encourage you to present it in the greater context of Christ's healing and faithfulness, so that loneliness is answered by His presence and family is redeemed by His grace.
You ask about the healthy and the money, and we understand this as the cares of health and provision that weigh so heavily. Our Father knows you need these things. We are reminded not to be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. Jesus taught us to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well, Matthew 6:33. And our God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19. For health, we trust the Lord who is our shepherd and our healer, and for finances, we trust the Lord who owns all things and calls us to stewardship and contentment while He provides.
We pray together now for you and your mother.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You for this dear one and for their mother. Lord, You know the biographical violence that has marked their lives, every wound, every lonely night, every family burden. We ask that You bring Your healing where there has been violence, Your comfort where there has been loneliness, and Your reconciliation and peace where family has been strained. Draw them both closer to Jesus, that their eternity with You would be sure and their present walk would be filled with assurance. Teach them how to share their story for Your glory, not for mere sorrow, but as a witness that You restore and make whole. We lift up their health to You and their financial needs to You, asking for Your provision, Your wisdom, and Your peace. Guard their hearts from anxiety about tomorrow and help them to seek You first each day. Lead them into fellowship with a healthy body of believers where they will not be lonely but will be known, loved, and supported. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our only hope, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring your full story before the Lord, to share it with trusted and biblically grounded counsel and with your church family, and to let Christ be the center of how it is told. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future, Jeremiah 29:11. We stand with you as you seek His will for whether this testimony is shared more as a word to the lonely or as a word to families, and we trust He will make your path clear, Proverbs 3:5-6.
