We understand that you're going through a difficult time emotionally and you're in need of genuine friends. We want to remind you that true friends are a blessing from God, and we encourage you to seek and cherish.
Proverbs 18:24 WEB states, "A man of many companions may be ruined, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother."
First, we want to encourage you to look to Jesus Christ, who is the ultimate friend. He said in John 15:15 WEB, "No longer do I call you servants, for the servant doesn't know what his lord does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you."
As we pray for you, we also encourage you to be open to new friendships and to be a friend to others as well. Remember, friendship is a two-way street.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up our friend who is in need of genuine companionship. We pray that You would bring true friends into their life, people who will encourage, support, and uplift them in their time of need. We thank you for the encouragement and strength that comes through godly friendships.
We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, that our friend would come to know Jesus as their ultimate friend and Savior. We pray that they would find comfort and peace in Him, and that He would guide them through this difficult time.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to look to God for your ultimate source of comfort and friendship. Psalm 73:25-26 WEB reminds us, "Whom do I have in heaven? There is none upon earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart fails, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
We also gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can come to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved. If you have not already, consider putting your faith in Jesus Christ for salvation.
Romans 10:13 WEB says, "For, 'Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'"
If you declared this with your mouth and believed it in your heart then you would be saved. Romans 10:9 WEB, "that if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Please rest in Jesus Christ and His saving power.
