We lift up your friend before the throne of grace, asking for the Lord’s healing hand to rest upon her as she undergoes rotator cuff surgery. Father, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who knits our bodies together and sustains us in every moment. We ask that You guide the hands of the surgeons and medical team with wisdom and precision, that the procedure would be successful and free from complications. Grant Your peace to surround her, calming any anxiety or fear, and fill her with the assurance that You are with her. May she experience Your comfort and strength in the days of recovery ahead, and may her body heal swiftly and completely according to Your will.
We also bring her daughter before You, Lord, with heavy hearts and earnest intercession. The Scriptures tell us, *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9). We pray that You would soften her daughter’s heart to the truth of the Gospel, that she would come to know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Open her eyes to see her need for salvation, and draw her to Yourself with cords of love. Surround her with believers who will shine the light of Christ into her life, and let her encounter Your grace in a way that leaves no doubt of Your reality. We declare over her the promise of Ezekiel 36:26: *"I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh."*
Father, we know that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). We ask that You would raise up laborers to share the Good News with this young woman, and that she would be receptive to the message of salvation. May she come to understand that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved but the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). We pray that she would turn from any path that leads away from You and embrace the forgiveness and new life found only in Christ.
In all these things, we trust in Your sovereignty and goodness. We ask that You would be glorified in both the healing of the body and the salvation of the soul. Strengthen our faith as we wait on You, and help us to be faithful in prayer and in sharing the hope we have in Christ. We commit this situation into Your hands, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done, and may Your name be praised.
Lord, we thank You for the privilege of coming before You on behalf of others. We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
