We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your friend who is facing a critical transition in her life. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and numbers every hair on our heads (Psalm 139:13-14). We ask You now to touch her heart and her body, Lord. Her breathing struggles and the concerns about her heart weigh heavily on her spirit, and we pray that You would bring healing and stability to her physical condition. Strengthen her heart, Lord, so that she may move forward into the next season of her life without delay. We declare that by Your stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we trust in Your power to restore her to health.
We also lift up her emotional and mental well-being, Father. The frustration and weariness of a long stay in rehab are understandable, but we ask that You would renew her strength like the eagles’ (Isaiah 40:31). Give her patience and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Remind her that You have not forgotten her, and that Your plans for her are for good and not for harm, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Let her feel Your presence in a tangible way, Lord, so that she may find comfort and assurance in You.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that may be trying to take hold of her, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray against any delays or setbacks that would keep her from moving into the assisted living facility. Open the doors that need to be opened, Lord, and close the ones that would hinder her progress. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your sovereign will for her life.
Father, we also ask that You would surround her with godly support, people who will speak life into her, encourage her, and remind her of Your promises. Let her feel the love of the body of Christ, whether through the staff at the facility, friends, or family. May she be a light to those around her, even in her struggles, so that others may see Your goodness and grace at work in her life.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the One through whom we have access to You, Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through faith in Him that we can approach Your throne with confidence (Hebrews 4:16). We thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer according to Your will. Strengthen our faith as we wait on You, Lord, and help us to trust in Your perfect plan for her life. Amen.
