We lift up this young man before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the battle he faces in his mind is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of darkness. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and delivered. There is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved—only through Jesus can this young man find true freedom and healing.
Lord, we rebuke every spirit of confusion, perversion, and mental torment that has taken hold of him. The enemy has no right to steal, kill, or destroy what You have created in Your image. We declare that the blood of Jesus covers this young man, and we command every unclean spirit to flee from him now in Jesus’ name. "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed" (Luke 4:18 WEB). We stand on this promise, Lord, and ask that You break every chain of mental illness and oppression in his life.
We pray for complete restoration of his mind, that he would think on whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and of good report, as Your Word commands (Philippians 4:8). Father, fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in the light and truth of Your Word. Remove every lie the enemy has planted in his thoughts and replace it with the truth of Scripture. "You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free" (John 8:32 WEB). Let him know the freedom that comes only from You, Jesus.
We also ask that You surround him with godly believers who will speak life, truth, and encouragement into his situation. May he find refuge in Your presence, Lord, and may his heart be softened to receive the healing You so desperately want to give him. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28 WEB). Draw him close to You, Jesus, and let him experience the peace that surpasses all understanding.
We declare that no weapon formed against him will prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We thank You, Father, for the victory that is already his in Christ Jesus. Strengthen him, Lord, and let him rise up in the authority You have given him as Your child. May he walk in the fullness of Your purpose for his life, free from the snares of the enemy.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
