We lift this heavy burden before the Lord with deep compassion for your friend’s heartache. There is no pain quite like watching a child walk away from the truth of Christ, especially when one has forbidden her to even speak His name. The enemy seeks to silence the gospel, but we stand in the authority of Jesus, who declared, *"All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth"* (Matthew 28:18 WEB). We rebuke the spirit of rebellion and unbelief that has taken hold in these young men, and we declare that the Holy Spirit is still at work, even in their silence.
Your friend’s love for her sons is a reflection of God’s own heart—*"Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you"* (Isaiah 49:15 WEB). Though they may reject her words now, her prayers and tears are not wasted. We stand with her in intercession, believing that *"the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man avails much"* (James 5:16 WEB). Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

My friend was fired from her manager job earlier this year after an awkward situation between us. Now she is working for another employer where I will see her again as a customer. I feel uncomfortable. I’m angry that Satan so easily destroyed one of the only positive connections I had in town...
