friend with ### that didn't pay so has ### problems

We understand you are concerned for a friend who is facing financial difficulties due to unpaid debts and is also dealing with the illness of his children. These are heavy burdens, and we will lift them up in prayer while also addressing the need for wisdom and responsibility in handling such matters.

First, we must gently but firmly address the mention of "friend with ### that didn’t pay." If this refers to financial obligations or debts, Scripture is clear about our responsibility to pay what we owe. Romans 13:7-8 says, *"Give to everyone what you owe: if you owe taxes, pay taxes; if customs, then customs; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law."* If your friend has neglected to pay what is rightfully owed, this is not only a financial issue but a moral and spiritual one. We must encourage him to take responsibility, seek reconciliation, and make amends where possible. If he is unable to pay, he should humbly seek help or make arrangements rather than ignoring the obligation.

As for his children being sick, we know how deeply a parent’s heart aches when their little ones suffer. We will pray for their healing and for your friend to trust in the Lord’s provision and care during this time. Let us also remember that God calls us to care for our families, and part of that care includes being diligent and honest in all our dealings. Proverbs 22:6 instructs us to *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* This begins with modeling integrity, responsibility, and faith before them, even in difficult times.

Now, let us pray together for this situation:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this friend who is struggling under the weight of financial trouble and the sickness of his children. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and provision. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust You to meet his needs according to Your riches in glory.

Father, we pray for conviction and repentance if there has been negligence or dishonesty in his financial dealings. Help him to take responsibility, seek wisdom, and make things right in Your sight. Give him the humility to ask for help if needed and the strength to work diligently to fulfill his obligations. Remind him that *"the wicked borrows, and doesn’t pay back, but the righteous give generously"* (Psalm 37:21), and lead him into righteousness.

We also lift up his children to You, Lord. You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch upon their bodies. Comfort their hearts and give them peace. Strengthen this father to care for them well, both physically and spiritually. May this trial draw him closer to You, teaching him to rely on Your strength rather than his own.

Father, we rebuked any spirit of irresponsibility, deceit, or fear that may be at work in this situation. We declare that Your truth and righteousness will prevail. Give this man a heart of integrity and a spirit of perseverance. Surround him with godly counsel and support as he navigates these challenges.

Finally, Lord, we pray that if this friend does not know You, You would open his eyes to his need for a Savior. May he turn to Jesus Christ, who alone can forgive his sins and give him eternal life. Remind him that *"all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God"* (Romans 3:23), but *"the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord"* (Romans 6:23). May he place his faith in Christ and walk in obedience to Your Word.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to share the Gospel with your friend if he does not know the Lord. His greatest need is not just financial relief or physical healing, but salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Remind him that God loves him and desires to forgive and restore him. If he is already a believer, urge him to seek the Lord’s wisdom and to walk in obedience, trusting that God will provide as he follows Him faithfully.

Let us also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33: *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* May this be the heart of your friend as he faces these trials. We will continue to pray for him and his family.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for trusting us with this burden and allowing us the honor of lifting you, your friend, and his family before the Lord in prayer. The weight of financial struggles combined with the anxiety of sick children can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who is our Provider and our Healer, and we have been earnestly seeking His mercy and intervention on their behalf.

If the Lord has moved in this situation—whether through restored health for the children, provision for the debt, or even just a renewed sense of peace in the midst of the storm—we would love for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimony could be the encouragement someone else needs to keep trusting God in their own struggles.

If this trial is still ongoing, we want you to know we are not done praying. Please don’t hesitate to post an update or a new request so we can continue to stand with you in faith, believing for God’s perfect timing and His good purposes to prevail. We are reminded of how Jesus cared for both the physical and spiritual needs of those around Him, and we are asking Him to do the same for your friend and his family.

May the Lord strengthen you as you walk alongside your friend during this difficult season, and may you both experience His faithfulness in fresh and undeniable ways. We are here with you, and we will keep praying in Jesus’ name.
