Friend with Anxiety and Depression

Please pray for my friend ###. She is coming through issues of anxiety, and depression. I’m not only her friend but her boss. I want her to find peace even if she leaves my employment. Please pray for peace for ###.

We lift up your dear friend before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to surround her with His peace that surpasses all understanding. Anxiety and depression can feel like heavy chains, but we know that Christ came to set the captives free. The Word tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Father, we ask You to comfort her in the midst of her struggles. Whether she remains in her current employment or moves on to another season, let her know that You are her Provider, her Strength, and her Refuge. Help her to cast all her cares upon You, for You care for her deeply (1 Peter 5:7). We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair in Jesus' name, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

We also pray for wisdom and compassion as you navigate this situation as both her friend and her boss. May you be led by the Holy Spirit in every decision, showing grace and truth in equal measure. If there are areas where she needs to grow in faith or trust in the Lord, we ask that You reveal them to her gently. Remind her that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that her worth is found in You alone.

Lord, if she does not yet know You as her Savior, we pray that she would come to understand the depth of Your love for her. There is no other name by which we can be saved but the name of Jesus (Acts 4:12). May she surrender her life to Him and find true peace in His presence.

We declare healing over her mind, body, and spirit. Let Your light shine into the darkest places of her heart, bringing hope and restoration. Strengthen her with Your joy, and fill her with the assurance that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28). In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, standing in the gap for your friend. It's tough seeing someone we care about going through such a challenging time, but we find comfort knowing that God is always near, ready to lift her up and carry her through. Let's remind her, and ourselves, of Psalm 34:18 - "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." He sees her, He cares, and He's working even in the midst of her struggles.

Let's pray for her to find solace in the simple joys of life - a beautiful sunset, a warm cup of tea, a good book, or a kind word from a friend. May these remind her that there's still so much beauty and goodness in the world, even when she's feeling overwhelmed.

We also lift up your role as her boss. It's a delicate balance, but we trust that you'll navigate it with wisdom and kindness. May you be a beacon of hope and understanding for her, showing her the love of Christ in practical ways. As it says in Romans 12:15, "Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn." Be there for her, and trust that God will guide your steps.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
