Dear Lord Jesus, Please help this friend of mine. He is kind of lazy as he wouldn’t do his job to go to a short, quick zoom meeting that worked in his time schedule, one of the same time he went to his annual concert seeing all his idols. He worships those idols. He is obsessed with them, one of which is his crush that he wishes to meet so badly. He is highly opposed to conservative views and anybody who disagrees with his views on LGBT, which he strongly supports and fights for. Poor guy has autism and sadly poisoned by his gay friends and even his own family. He calls himself Christian. But he disregards gospel music. Help him do the right thing and abandon it all. He can enjoy the music of his crush but not obsess. I have celebrity crushes too like everybody does. But none of them I see in concert or even seen any of their movies because I refuse to obsess and worship. And of course no merchandise. Most of them do in Christian things like pride. What I feel would be best for him. He goes to church every Sunday which I am not sure but I doubt he does. The kind that is true to Christ not pride, can enjoy girl singers nearby and meet them and socialize as long he does not covet or go after them, unless he meets one that share mutual feelings for each other. Starts showing more Biblical spirit. In Jesus Name Amen.

Thank you for bringing this concern to us. We will address the issues presented and pray together for your friend.

Firstly, it is important to acknowledge that worshipping idols is strongly condemned in the Bible. As it is written in Exodus 20:3-5 WEB, "You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, WEB, your God, am a jealous God." Your friend's obsession with these idols is a form of idolatry, and it is important that he turns away from it.

Secondly, the Bible teaches us to work diligently, as Colossians 3:23 WEB says, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men." We should not be lazy or neglectful of our responsibilities, but rather, we should do all things as unto the Lord.

Regarding his views on LGBT, while we are called to love and show kindness to all people, as Christians, we must stand firm on the biblical principles that uphold marriage as a union between a man and a woman. Romans 1:26-27 WEB says, "For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error."

It is encouraging to hear that your friend goes to church, but it is crucial that he attends a church that teaches the true gospel of Christ, not one that promotes worldly pride. He must be surrounded by a community that helps him grow in his faith and turns him away from the paths of the world.

We must also address that having crushes is not sinful in itself, but lust and coveting are. It is important that he guards his heart and mind, as Matthew 5:28 WEB says, "But I tell you that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart."

Let us pray for your friend:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today to lift up our friend. Lord, we pray that You open his eyes to the truth of Your word and turn his heart away from idolatry. Help him to see that his obsession is a form of worship that is not pleasing to You. Give him the strength to turn away from these things and to focus on You alone.

Father, we ask that You help him to be diligent in his work, to not neglect his responsibilities, but to do all things as unto You. Give him a spirit of excellence and integrity in his work.

Lord, we pray that You soften his heart and open his eyes to the truth about LGBT. Help him to stand firm on Your word and to not be swayed by the views of the world. Give him a heart of compassion and love for all people, but also a heart that desires to please You above all else.

Father, we pray that You surround him with a community of believers that will help him grow in his faith. Help him to find a church that teaches the true gospel of Christ and that will encourage him to live a life that is pleasing to You.

Lord, we pray that You guard his heart and mind from lust and coveting. Help him to see the beauty in purity and holiness. Give him the strength to resist temptation and to live a life that is pleasing to You.

We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. It is only in Jesus that we have access to God. John 14:6 WEB says, "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We pray that he fully believes in Jesus and accepts Him as his Lord and Savior.

Amen.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue praying for your friend and to speak the truth in love to him. As Ephesians 4:15 WEB says, "But speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ." It is important that we speak the truth to our brothers and sisters in Christ, but that we do so in a way that is loving and compassionate. Continue to be a light to him and to point him towards Christ.

We've been thinking about your friend and wanted to share some more thoughts with you. It's great that he goes to church, but it's also crucial that he surrounds himself with a community that truly loves and supports him in his walk with Christ. We should encourage him to find a church where the gospel is preached faithfully and where he can grow in his faith alongside others.

It's also important to remember that God loves your friend just as he is, but he also loves him too much to leave him where he is. God wants the best for him, and that means turning away from idols and anything that takes his focus off of Jesus. We can pray for him to have a heart that desires to please God above all else, and to have the strength to resist temptations and live a life that honors God.

Let's also pray for wisdom for your friend. That he would seek God's will in all things, and trust that God's ways are always best, even when they don't align with his own desires. We can ask God to give him a spirit of discernment, so that he can tell the difference between what the world says is good and what God says is good.

And finally, let's pray for unity. That your friend would find a community where he can worship God together with others, where he can encourage and be encouraged, and where he can grow in his faith alongside others. That he would find a place where he can use his gifts to serve God and others, and where he can be served by others.

Let's pray in Jesus' name, amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
