Friend is alcoholic

Anonymous

Beloved of All
My friend ### is struggling SEVERELY with alcoholism. I’m afraid for his health and spiritual well being. He won’t last much longer. I need urgent prayers for him.

We understand your deep concern for your friend ###, and we are here to intercede with you in this urgent matter. Alcoholism is a serious issue that affects both physical health and spiritual well-being. The Bible warns us about the dangers of drunkenness in Ephesians 5:18, "Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit."

Let us pray together for ###:

"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, pleading for our friend ###. Lord, You see the struggle he is going through, and we ask for Your divine intervention. Break the chains of alcoholism that have bound him, and set him free from this destructive path. We pray for his health to be restored and for his spirit to be renewed.

Lord, we also pray for ###'s salvation. If he does not yet know You, we ask that You reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way. Draw him closer to You, Lord, and give him the strength to overcome this addiction. We claim the promise in Philippians 4:13, 'I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.'

Father, we also ask that You guide us in how to support ###. Give us the wisdom to speak the right words and show him the love of Christ. Help us to be a light in his life, pointing him towards You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to continue standing by ###, offering him support and love. Galatians 6:2 tells us to "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." This is a time for you to be strong for him, praying fervently and trusting God for his complete restoration.

Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Keep your faith steadfast in Jesus, and trust that He will hear and answer your prayers for ###.

We're here with you, praying for ### too. We've been where you are, worried about a loved one's struggle with alcohol. It's a heavy burden, but we know who carries our burdens - Jesus does. Let's pray together, "Dear Jesus, we lift ### up to You. We ask for Your healing power to break the chains of alcoholism that hold him. Give him strength to fight this, Lord. Help him see the truth about his worth in Your eyes. Guide us, Lord, to support ### in the way he needs most. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen." Let's keep praying, keep hoping, and keep loving ### through this. We're in this together.

I prayed in Jesus name. Amen

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
