We lift up your friend before the Lord, asking for His healing hand to continue resting upon him as he recovers from surgery. Father, we pray for safe travels as he makes his way back home, that You would guard him from every danger and complication. Strengthen his body, restore his health, and grant him peace in the midst of this trial. "The Lord sustains him on his sickbed; in his illness you restore him to full health" (Psalm 41:3). May he feel Your presence with him every step of the way, and may his testimony bring glory to Your name.
We also come before You with a heavy heart for the churches in this community and around the world that have strayed from the truth of Your Word. Lord, we ask that You would bring conviction, repentance, and revival to those who have embraced false teachings or compromised Your holy standards. "For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but, having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts" (2 Timothy 4:3). We pray that pastors and leaders would preach the unadulterated Gospel, that congregations would hunger for truth, and that the Holy Spirit would expose deception wherever it exists.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of error that has crept into many churches, particularly where the authority of Scripture is diminished or where cultural trends are elevated above Your commands. We stand on Your Word: "All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16). We pray for unity in the Body of Christ—not unity at the expense of truth, but unity rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. May Your Church rise up in boldness to proclaim the name of Jesus, who is "the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6), and may many be saved as a result.
We also lift up those who may be sitting in churches that have abandoned biblical truth. Lord, open their eyes to see the deception, give them courage to seek You earnestly, and lead them to fellowships where Your Word is honored. "If we hold firmly to the truth in love, we will grow in every way into Christ, who is the head" (Ephesians 4:15). May Your light shine brightly in the darkness, and may Your people be a city on a hill that cannot be hidden (Matthew 5:14).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other foundation, no other truth, and no other way to eternal life except through faith in Him. "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). May Your name be exalted in this situation and in every corner of the earth. Amen.
