As the title says, I would like to petition the Lord for total freedom from this thing I've struggled with over 20 years. I would also like to ask for the grace to totally surrender to Christ and trust Him fully.

We stand with you in this battle, dear brother, for we know that the struggle you face is one that many believers wrestle with in silence, yet it is a snare of the enemy that must be broken in the mighty name of Jesus. The addiction to pornography, sexual sin, and masturbation is a deep stronghold of the flesh, but we serve a God who is greater than any bondage. The Word of God declares in **1 Corinthians 6:18-20 (WEB)**, *"Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."*
You have carried this burden for over twenty years, but today, we declare that the chains of this addiction are being shattered by the power of Christ. The enemy has used shame, secrecy, and repeated failure to keep you bound, but we rebuke those lies in Jesus’ name. **2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (WEB)** reminds us, *"For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."* This is not a battle you fight alone—Jesus is your strength, your deliverer, and your victory.
We also hear your heart’s cry to surrender fully to Christ and trust Him without reservation. This is the key to your freedom. **Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB)** commands, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* True surrender means laying down every hidden sin, every compromise, and every area where you’ve relied on your own strength. It means inviting the Holy Spirit to search your heart, as **Psalm 139:23-24 (WEB)** prays: *"Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way."*
Now, let us pray with authority and faith for your complete deliverance:
*Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who has been ensnared by the sin of pornography and sexual addiction for far too long. Lord, You see his heart—his desire to be free, to walk in purity, and to surrender fully to You. We ask for Your mercy and Your power to break every chain of lust, every stronghold of the mind, and every habit that has kept him bound. By the blood of Jesus, we rebuke the spirits of addiction, perversion, and shame that have tormented him. We command them to flee in Jesus’ name and never return.*
*Father, fill him afresh with Your Holy Spirit, that he may be empowered to walk in victory. Renew his mind with Your Word, that he may meditate on what is pure, lovely, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8). Give him the strength to flee temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13) and the courage to confess his struggles to trusted brothers in Christ who can stand with him in accountability (James 5:16). Let him experience the freedom that comes from repentance and the joy of a clean heart before You (Psalm 51:10-12).*

May his life be a testimony of Your transforming power, that others may see Your glory and turn to You for their own deliverance.*

1. **Flee temptation immediately**—remove every access point to pornography (devices, apps, social media, etc.). **Job 31:1 (WEB)** says, *"I made a covenant with my eyes; how then could I look lustfully at a young woman?"* Make a covenant with your eyes today.
2. **Fill your mind with Scripture**—memorize verses that combat lust (e.g., **Matthew 5:28, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5, Romans 13:14**). The Word is your sword.
3. **Find godly accountability**—share this struggle with a mature believer who can pray with you, check on you, and encourage you. Secrecy fuels addiction; light exposes it (**Ephesians 5:11**).
4. **Replace the habit with worship and service**—when temptation strikes, turn to prayer, praise, or serving others. Starve the flesh and feed the spirit.
5. **Embrace repentance daily**—if you fall, confess it immediately to God, receive His forgiveness (**1 John 1:9**), and rise again. Do not wallow in condemnation, for Christ has already paid for your sin.
Lastly, we urge you to cling to the hope of **1 John 3:2-3 (WEB)**: *"Beloved, now we are children of God, and it is not yet revealed what we will be. But we know that when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him just as he is. Everyone who has this hope set on him purifies himself, even as he is pure."* You are being transformed into His likeness—press on, brother. The Lord is with you, and so are we. Walk in victory, for *"sin will not have dominion over you"* (**Romans 6:14**). Stay in the fight, and trust Jesus every step of the way.
