Beloved of All
Please pray for my daughter who is in a toxic relationship. This relationship has opened doors to deception, financial exploitation, and spiritual bondage, and I pray that the Lord would break every chain. Lord, I remove the rebellion, control, and ungodly influence of this young man and his mother. My daughter is a child of the Most High God, and she does not need to conform to this young man and his family ways or seek their approval. I pray that her eyes would be opened to the truth, that this man is not her husband, he is not a shepherd, nor is he ready for the responsibilities of marriage. The burden she carries for him is not hers to bear, and I ask the Lord to remove every false sense of obligation from her heart. Let my daughter see this young man is not ready for marriage, he is not a provider, and he is not a shepherd. Let her see clearly the exhaustion she is feeling and financial hardship are from the live in lifestyle she has been lure in to live by this young man and his mother. Father, I ask that You would swiftly, gently but firmly remove her from this toxic bondage with no regrets. Break the stubbornness in her heart and replace it with a hunger for righteousness. Let her see the harm this relationship is causing, financially, spiritually, and emotionally. I pray that she would no longer defend this man or desire to live with him outside of marriage. Instead, draw her back to the safety of Your will, the support of her family, and the fellowship of her church. I pray Lord that Your will restore her thankful, graceous, humble and grateful manner for her two purposeful jobs. Guide Lord to never put this man or his family before her work. Guide her to not imitate this young man inconsiderate disrespectful authoritative carefree behaviors toward the work You have provided for her. I pray that she will stop honoring the young man and his family. I ask Lord, that she follow the biblical teachings again that she honors You, her parents and be thankful for her family and jobs again. I declare that she will not be swayed by the ungodly selfish counsel of this young man's mother, who has overstepped her bounds and sought to replace me as her mother, his sister and her siblings, this young man as a father and husband, they are taking her on a dark path and away from her church home, family, friends and jobs. I pray that the Lord would expose this young man's mother motives, her disrespect, jealousy and frustrate every plan she has to divide, isolate or corrupt my family. Lord, I pray that You will swiftly block all their plots, plans and scheme to cause chaos, isolation and division in our upcoming holiday seasons and fellowship. Let her focus on what she need to fix in her own family and block her manipulation completely toward me my family. Lord, I ask that my daughter will see her supportive family in Your eyes not in the eyes of this young man and his mother. I pray for godly spouses for my daughters, men who will love them as Christ loves the church, lead them in righteousness, and honor the covenant of marriage as You intended. Jesus declare that every plan of the enemy to divide, isolate, or destroy my family will fail. The Lord fights for me, and He will restore what has been broken. I pray that my home would be a beacon of His light, drawing others to the love and grace found only in Jesus. I plead the blood of Jesus Christ over me and my children. No weapon formed against her shall prosper. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

Duties of Husbands to Wives

The Chain of Influences
Consistent good influences shape a life and demand we build them daily for ourselves and others.
We join you in lifting up your daughter before the throne of grace and we stand with you in agreement for her freedom and restoration in Jesus name. We hear the burden you carry as a mother who sees so clearly the deception, financial exploitation and spiritual bondage that has come through this toxic relationship, and we commend you for bringing it so boldly to the Lord and for pleading the blood of Jesus Christ over your children.

We agree with your discernment that this young man is not her husband, not a shepherd and not ready for the responsibilities of marriage. Scripture teaches us that a godly husband is called to love his wife as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her Ephesians 5:25 and to provide for his household 1 Timothy 5:8. A relationship that is marked by control, rebellion, financial hardship and exhaustion is not reflecting that Christlike leadership, but rather the works of darkness. We also hear your concern about the ungodly influence of this young man and his mother who has overstepped her bounds and sought to isolate your daughter from her family, her church and the work God has given her. We pray with you that every plan to divide, isolate or corrupt your family will fail, for our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12.

We must lovingly and firmly address what you have named so honestly, the live in lifestyle outside of marriage. The Word of God is clear that this is not in alignment with His will and it opens doors to spiritual bondage. We are told to flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18 and that marriage should be held in honor among all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and that being a boyfriend or girlfriend should be considered courtship with the goal being marriage to another Christian believer. We pray that your daughter will no longer defend or desire to live with this man outside of marriage, but will see that what she is calling love is in fact fornication that brings exhaustion and financial hardship and separates her from the fellowship of her church and the safety of your home. We pray she will choose to honor God with her body and to honor her father and mother Exodus 20:12 rather than honoring this young man and his family before her work and her family.

We also agree with you that she does not need to conform to this young man and his family ways or seek their approval. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well pleasing, and perfect will of God Romans 12:2. The false sense of obligation she carries is not from the Lord, for where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty 2 Corinthians 3:17. We pray that the stubbornness in her heart would be broken and that God would give her a new heart and put a new spirit within her Ezekiel 36:26, replacing stubbornness with a hunger for righteousness and a thankful, gracious, humble and grateful heart for the two purposeful jobs God has provided.

We pray together now for her complete deliverance.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come boldly before You and we thank You that it is only through Jesus that we have access to You, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We lift up this precious daughter, a child of the Most High God, and we ask that You would open her eyes to the truth. Remove every veil of deception and let her see clearly that this man is not her husband, not a provider and not a shepherd. Break every chain of spiritual bondage, rebellion and control that has bound her. We declare that if therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed John 8:36, and we ask You to swiftly, gently but firmly remove her from this toxic bondage with no regrets. Remove every false sense of obligation and let her feel the exhaustion and harm this relationship is causing financially, spiritually and emotionally. Draw her back to the safety of Your will, to the support of her family and to the fellowship of her church. Restore in her a thankful heart for her work and guard her from imitating inconsiderate, disrespectful and carefree behaviors toward the work You have provided. Expose the motives of this young man's mother and frustrate every plan she has to divide, isolate or corrupt this family. Block all plots and schemes to cause chaos and division in the upcoming holiday seasons and fellowship. Let this mother see her supportive family through Your eyes and not through the eyes of this young man and his mother. We declare over this family that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17 and that You will restore what the enemy has tried to steal. We pray for godly spouses for her daughters, men who will love them as Christ loves the church, lead them in righteousness and honor the covenant of marriage as You intended. Let this home be a beacon of Your light, drawing others to the love and grace found only in Jesus. We plead the blood of Jesus over this mother and her children and we thank You that You fight for her. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand firm in prayer and in truth spoken in love. Continue to keep the doors of your home and your church open with grace, while not enabling or condoning the sin of cohabitation. Seek the counsel and covering of your pastor and trusted believers to come alongside you and your daughter, and continue to speak the Word of God over her life daily. God is able to do far more than we ask or think, and He is faithful to restore.

We hear how heavy this has been to carry for your daughter, watching her stretched thin by a relationship that has left her exhausted and financially strained and feeling distant from family and church. Your love for her and your desire to see her whole and at peace comes through so clearly.

One insight that helps many parents in this painful place is remembering where loving care ends and another adult's responsibility begins. You can keep loving her steadily and keep the door open without taking on the burden of fixing this for her or being pulled into every conflict with this young man and his family. Holding that kind of clear and kind line protects your own heart and also gives her more space to see her situation clearly and to hear the Lord for herself.

It helps not to walk this alone. We would encourage you to lean on one or two steady, trusted people who know you, like a pastor or a mature friend from your church, who can pray with you regularly and help you discern when to speak and when to simply remain available and loving.

Father, we lift this daughter to You and ask for Your protection over her and for wisdom and clarity as she makes decisions about her life and work. Give her eyes to see what is harming her and courage to step toward what is healthy and good. Comfort her mother, guard this family from further division, and draw them all closer to You and to the support of their church family. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in laying this burden before the Lord who alone can deliver and restore.

We agree with you that living together outside of marriage does not honor the Lord, for He has ordained that intimacy and the sharing of a home in that way belong within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman for life. We will not ask God to bless what His Word calls away from His will, but we will ask Him to deliver, to open eyes, and to draw your daughter back into the safety of obedience and fellowship with Christ.

We pray that the Lord would break every chain of deception, financial exploitation and spiritual bondage that has entangled her. Deliverance from the power of darkness is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and it is not of him that wills nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. He alone has found a ransom, and that ransom is the blood of Jesus Christ. We plead that blood over your daughter and your household, trusting that no weapon formed against her shall prosper when God Himself undertakes to save.

Father, we ask that You would grant her a clear sight of the truth. Remove every false sense of obligation and every ungodly influence that would control her or replace the place You have given to her family and her church. As You once restored Peter with a look that severed him from the crowd, so look upon her with mercy and sever her from this crowd that is drawing her away from You. Break stubbornness and give in its place a hunger for righteousness. Let her feel the weight and exhaustion of this path and turn from defending what harms her spiritually, emotionally and financially.

We ask that You would gently but firmly lead her out of this toxic bondage with no turning back, and bring her into restoration. There is a higher restoration than mere relief from trouble, it is restoration to Yourself, to a thankful and humble walk, to honoring You and honoring her parents as Your Word teaches. Restore to her gratitude for the purposeful work You have provided, and guard her from imitating careless or disrespectful ways. Let her no longer put this young man or his family before the duties You have entrusted to her.

Lord, we ask that You would frustrate every plan that seeks to divide, isolate or corrupt this family. Expose motives that are jealous or manipulative, and block every scheme to bring chaos or division, especially in the coming season of holidays and fellowship. Let this mother who has overstepped her bounds be turned to attend to what is her own, and let her influence over your daughter be brought to nothing. Keep this family as a dwelling place of Your peace, for You have been our dwelling place in all generations, and Your love does not change with changing circumstances.

We pray for your daughters, that in Your time and will You would provide godly husbands, men who will love as Christ loves the church, who will lead in righteousness and honor the covenant of marriage as You intended. Until then, keep them pure, rooted in Your Word, and surrounded by the support of family and the fellowship of the church.

We take comfort that when deliverance comes, it is God who brings His people forth, and He brings them forth enriched by His grace. May this trial become a testimony, that after chastening and after deliverance she may say, I shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord. The clock of mercy strikes at the hour appointed by Your eternal purpose, and we trust Your timing.

We will continue to stand with you, asking the Lord to fight for you and to restore what has been broken, that your home may be a beacon of His light and grace found only in Jesus. In the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and ransom, Amen.
