Beloved of All
Please pray for my daughter to get out of this toxic relationship swiftly with no regrets. Lord, I ask that You gently break every ungodly tie and controlling influence, from this young man and from his mother who has overstepped her place. I pray that all pride, manipulation, or false sense of commitment would lose its hold, that my daughter's eyes would be opened to see the disrespect, dishonesty, and selfishness and that she would not idolize or obey a man to whom she is not married, nor put him before her family, her health, her work, and her faith. I pray that she would hunger for home again, for the supportive family God has given her, and for fellowship built on respect and love. I pray that she would find her worth in Christ alone, that she would honor her parents again as God commands, for that family bond is given high priority in His eyes. Lord, I ask that You provide a godly husband who respects her and our family, provides well, and walks faithfully with the Lord. Lord I ask that You frustrate every plan that seeks to bring division, isolation, disrespect, selfishness, ungratefulness and chaos. I plead the precious blood of Jesus Christ over me and my children. No weapon formed against us shall prosper. Jesus, by your stripes all broken and wounded relationship in my family are completely healed, restored and protected. Surround me and my family with Your guardian angels in every aspect of our lives. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

We join you in lifting your daughter before the throne of grace and we agree with you for her freedom and restoration in Jesus' name. We hear your discernment as a mother and we affirm that what you have described, controlling influence, manipulation, disrespect, dishonesty, selfishness, isolation from family and a false sense of commitment outside of marriage, does not reflect the love that God intends for a godly relationship. Love is patient and is kind, it does not envy or boast, is not proud or rude, it does not seek its own way, as we read in 1 Corinthians 13:4-5.

We affirm what you have prayed so rightly, that a young woman is not to idolize or obey a boyfriend as if he were a husband. Scripture teaches that wives are to submit to their own husbands as to the Lord in Ephesians 5:22, but a boyfriend has no such authority. Courtship should be a season of seeking God together with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer, not a place of enmeshment or control. Marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman ordained by God, and any relationship that pulls a daughter away from her family, her health, her work and her faith is not leading toward that holy calling. We also gently and lovingly remind that if there has been any sexual intimacy outside of marriage, God calls that fornication and calls us to flee from it and to walk in purity. We are told in 1 Corinthians 6:18 to flee sexual immorality and in 2 Corinthians 6:14 not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity. Bad company corrupts good morals in 1 Corinthians 15:33, and we pray that every ungodly soul tie be broken.

We also affirm your desire to see your daughter honor her parents again. This is a central command with promise, as it is written in Ephesians 6:1-2, Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise. And Exodus 20:12. When a young person is drawn away, it is often the enemy seeking to bring division, isolation, ungratefulness and chaos into the home, but God is a God of restoration and peace.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come boldly before Your throne on behalf of this precious daughter and her mother. Lord, we ask that You gently and powerfully break every ungodly tie and every controlling influence from this young man and from his mother who has overstepped her place. We rebuke every spirit of pride, manipulation, deception, selfishness and control and we ask You to frustrate every plan that seeks to bring division, isolation, disrespect and chaos into this family. Lord, open this daughter's eyes to see clearly the disrespect, dishonesty and selfishness for what it is, and remove any veil of false commitment or soulish attachment. Give her a spirit of wisdom and revelation and renew her mind in Romans 12:2 so she no longer conforms to this world but discerns Your good and perfect will. Draw her heart to hunger for home again, for the supportive family You have given her, and for fellowship built on respect and love. Help her to find her worth in Christ alone, for she is fearfully and wonderfully made in Psalm 139:14 and created in Christ Jesus for good works in Ephesians 2:10. Restore to her a heart that honors her parents as You command, and heal any broken and wounded places in this family. We thank You that no weapon that is formed against us will prevail in Isaiah 54:17 and that by Your wounds we have been healed in 1 Peter 2:24. We plead the precious blood of Jesus Christ over this mother and her children and we ask You to surround this family with Your guardian angels and give Your angels charge over them to keep them in all their ways in Psalm 91:11. Where this relationship is not Your will, make a swift and clean way of escape with no regrets, and guard her from turning back. If it is Your will for her to marry, we ask in Your perfect timing that You provide a godly husband who respects her and her family, who provides well, who loves her as Christ loved the church and who walks faithfully with You. We trust You to restore what the enemy has tried to steal and to lead her in paths of righteousness for Your name's sake. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and only Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand firm in prayer with love and truth, without nagging or striving in the flesh, but entrusting her to the Lord who is able to keep her. Continue to speak truth in love, keep the door of home open with grace, set healthy boundaries, and model the peace and joy of a Christ centered home. We are told in James 4:7 to submit ourselves to God, resist the devil and he will flee from us, and in Proverbs 3:5-6 to trust in the Lord with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding. Keep interceding, keep fasting as the Lord leads, keep declaring the Word over your family, and keep resting in the assurance that God hears the prayers of a righteous mother and is faithful to complete the work He has begun.

Thank you for bringing your daughter and your family before the Lord so honestly. We can hear how much you love her and how painful it is to watch distance grow where there was once closeness.

When a young adult feels torn between a relationship and family, pressure rarely helps her see clearly. What does help is a steady, loving home that stays open while also keeping healthy boundaries. Boundaries are simply the lines that show where one person ends and another begins, what we are responsible for and what we are not. They protect the freedom to say yes and no honestly, and they keep love from turning into control on either side.

One steady step you can take is to keep your home a place of calm welcome without chasing or cornering. Let her know she is loved and missed, share your concerns once clearly and kindly, then give space for the Lord to work. It can also help to talk with a trusted pastor or counselor yourself, not to fix her, but to gain wisdom for how you respond when manipulation or disrespect appears, and to care for your own heart in this strain.

Father, we lift this daughter to You and ask You to guard her heart and mind, to open her eyes to what is true, and to draw her back to what is good and safe. Heal what is wounded in this family, protect Your peace in this home, and lead each of you day by day in wisdom and grace. In Jesus name, amen.

Your burden for your daughter has been laid before the Lord, and we join you in prayer for her freedom and for the restoration of your household.

We have heard your cry that every ungodly tie and controlling influence would be broken, and that the pride, manipulation and false sense of commitment which now holds her would lose its power. Scripture teaches that deliverance from the power of darkness is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and we must look to our heavenly Father, altogether and alone, for it. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. He alone brings forth His people, and He makes their deliverance effectual. When the lamb was slain, Pharaoh could hold Israel no longer, and so through the precious blood of Jesus Christ, the ransom which God Himself has found and given, there is a way of escape from every pit.

We pray that the Lord in His mercy would open your daughter's eyes to see what is true, that she would discern disrespect, dishonesty and selfishness for what they are, and would no longer idolize or obey a man to whom she is not married. The Lord has ordained marriage to be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and within that covenant alone belong the loyalty, intimacy and life sharing which she has been giving outside of it. We pray that she would turn from putting this relationship before her family, her health, her work and her faith, and would find her worth in Christ alone, whose love alone can satisfy and whose ransom alone can deliver.

We pray also for that sweet restoration which you have asked for. As Peter was restored not by his own resolve but by a look from the Lord which severed him from the crowd, so we ask that Christ would look upon your daughter in tender conviction and draw her heart home again. May she hunger for home, for the supportive family God has given her, and for fellowship built on respect and love. May she honor her father and mother again as God commands, for that bond is given high priority in His eyes, and may the peace which comes from deliverance from discord be known within your borders.

It is a glorious thing to have such a well as that in the family, where in prayer you can bring all the necessities of the household before God, and mention each child by name, and all the troubles of the past and all the expected difficulties of the coming day. Continue there. The clock of mercy strikes in heaven at the hour and moment of deliverance which the eternal purpose of Jehovah has decreed, and though we wait, His ear is not shut and His arm is not shortened.

We join you in asking that the Lord would frustrate every plan that seeks to bring division, isolation, ungratefulness and chaos into your home, and that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. We ask not for mere escape, but for enrichment after deliverance, for as He brought Israel forth with silver and gold, so He brings His people forth with a deeper knowledge of His grace. We pray that if it be His gracious will, He would in His own time provide a godly husband for your daughter, a man who respects her and your family, who provides well and who walks faithfully with the Lord, that marriage, if given, would be entered in holiness and in the fear of God.

May the Lord who has chastened sorely also deliver graciously, that you and your household may live and declare the works of the Lord, and sing songs of deliverance for a greater salvation than any earthly conquest. We plead no merit of our own, but the blood of Jesus shed for sinners, and we rest in this, that God has said, I have found a ransom.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, through whom alone is salvation, break every chain that binds this dear daughter, give her a heart to love Thee above all, restore what has been broken and wounded in this family, keep her and all her household under Thy faithful care, and let Thy will be done in her life for Thy glory. Amen.
