We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up ### to You, our Heavenly Father. We join this mother’s plea, standing in the gap for her son, and declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, for the battle belongs to You, Lord. We thank You for hearing this cry and for the power of the blood of Jesus, which breaks every chain and sets the captives free.
Father, we first acknowledge that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that ### would come to know You personally, that he would recognize his need for a Savior, and that his heart would be softened to receive the truth of Your Word. Lord, draw him to Yourself, for no one can come to You unless the Father draws them (John 6:44). We ask that You remove the scales from his eyes and the hardness from his heart, that he may see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ (2 Corinthians 4:4). Let him be born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God (1 Peter 1:23).
We rebuke every lie of the enemy that has taken root in ###’s mind, heart, or spirit. The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that he may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that every plan of the enemy against ###’s life is nullified in the name of Jesus. Every chain of addiction, every curse, every evil vow, and every ungodly covenant is broken by the power of the cross. We speak freedom over him, for whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36). We plead the blood of Jesus over his mind, heart, soul, and spirit, and we ask that You cleanse him from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Let every evil influence be uprooted, and let Your Holy Spirit fill the void with Your peace, Your truth, and Your love.
Father, we pray for ###’s mental health, asking that You heal any wounds, traumas, or strongholds that have taken hold. You are the God who restores, and we trust in Your promise to heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We declare that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we ask that You reveal to him his true identity in Christ. Let him know that he is Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which You prepared in advance for him to do (Ephesians 2:10).
We also lift up any soul ties, witchcraft, or ungodly influences that may be affecting ###. We rebuke these in the name of Jesus, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses (2 Corinthians 10:4). We break every ungodly soul tie and cancel every assignment of the enemy against him. We declare that ### is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that You would surround him with Your angels, that they would encamp around him and protect him from all harm (Psalm 91:11).
Lord, we ask that You would reveal to ### the truth of Your Word and that he would come to a knowledge of that truth, which sets him free (John 8:32). Let him turn from his sins and repent, for You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray that he would walk in the light as You are in the light, and that the blood of Jesus would cleanse him from all sin (1 John 1:7).
We stand on Your promises, Father, and we declare that ### is not beyond Your reach. You are his strong tower, his refuge, and his fortress (Psalm 18:2). We pray that he would run to You and be saved, that he would trust in You and be protected (Proverbs 18:10). Let him find his strength in You, for those who wait on You shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).
We also pray for this mother, Lord. Strengthen her faith as she waits on You. Remind her that You are a God who hears and answers prayer, and that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Give her peace that surpasses all understanding, and let her trust in You with all her heart, leaning not on her own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the victory that is already won through Jesus Christ. We declare that ### is set free, that he is a new creation in Christ, and that the old has passed away; behold, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17). We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is power in His name, and at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10-11). Amen.
We encourage this mother to continue standing in faith, trusting that God is at work even when she cannot see it. Keep praying without ceasing, for the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:16). Surround ### with godly influences—people who will speak life into him and point him to Christ. And remember, God’s timing is perfect. He is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness, but is patient with ###, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Hold fast to hope, for hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us (Romans 5:5).
