We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up the serious matter of fraud and theft that plagues so many in this fallen world. The schemes of the enemy are cunning, and his desire is to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But we declare that no weapon formed against God’s people shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord is our refuge and fortress, and in Him we trust for protection (Psalm 91:2).
First, we must address the sin at the root of these actions. The Bible is clear: "You shall not steal" (Exodus 20:15). Those who engage in fraud, identity theft, and deception are breaking God’s commandments and harming their neighbors. We rebuke the spirit of greed, dishonesty, and covetousness that drives such behavior. The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10), and those who pursue it fall into temptation and a snare. We pray for conviction to fall upon those involved in these crimes, that they may repent and turn from their wicked ways before it is too late.
For those who have been victimized by fraud and theft, we stand with you in prayer. The Lord sees your struggle and promises to restore what the locust has eaten (Joel 2:25). We ask for divine intervention to expose every fraudulent scheme and bring justice to those who have been wronged. May the Lord, who is a shield to those who walk in integrity, protect your finances, your identity, and your peace (Proverbs 2:7). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for all believers to guard themselves against such attacks. The enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), but we are called to be sober and vigilant. We encourage you to take practical steps to protect your personal information, seek godly counsel if you suspect fraud, and trust in the Lord’s provision even in times of loss. The Lord will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5), and His grace is sufficient in every trial.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name (Philippians 2:9). We ask for Your divine protection over our finances, our identities, and our peace. Expose every scheme of the enemy and bring justice to those who have been wronged. Convict the hearts of those involved in fraud and theft, that they may repent and turn to You. Strengthen us with wisdom and discernment to guard against deception. We trust in Your promise that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. Surround us with Your holy angels, Lord, and let Your presence be our shield and fortress. Restore what has been stolen, and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also lift up those who do not yet know You, Lord. May they come to understand that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus (Acts 4:12). Open their eyes to the truth of Your Word and draw them to repentance. For those who have been hurt by fraud, may they find comfort in Your love and hope in Your promises. We declare that You are our Provider, our Protector, and our Redeemer. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
