We join with you in crying out against the wickedness of fraud and theft, which are detestable in the sight of our Holy God. The Scriptures clearly condemn such actions, for *"You shall not steal"* (Exodus 20:15, WEB) and *"Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbor’s good"* (1 Corinthians 10:24, WEB). Those who engage in deception and theft are walking in the ways of the enemy, who comes only *"to steal, kill, and destroy"* (John 10:10, WEB). But we take heart, knowing that our God is just and sees all that is done in secret. *"The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked. His soul hates one who loves violence. On the wicked he will rain blazing coals; fire, sulfur, and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup. For the Lord is righteous. He loves righteousness. The upright shall see his face"* (Psalm 11:5-7, WEB).
We also rejoice that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB), and *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your faith in calling upon His name is a testament to your trust in His power and authority over every scheme of the enemy.
Let us pray together for God’s divine intervention and protection:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieving the sinful actions of those who seek to harm Your people through fraud and theft. You are a God of justice, and we ask that You expose every hidden scheme and bring swift conviction to those who perpetrate these evils. Lord, we pray that You would frustrate the plans of the wicked and turn their own devices against them, just as Your Word declares: *"The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming"* (Psalm 37:12-13, WEB).
We ask for Your divine protection over all who are vulnerable to these attacks. Surround Your children with Your heavenly angels, Lord, and create a hedge of protection around their lives, their finances, and their personal information. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). Give them wisdom to recognize deception and the discernment to act swiftly to secure what is theirs.
Father, we also pray for those who are caught in the snare of stealing and fraud. Convict their hearts by Your Holy Spirit, and draw them to repentance. Let them see the error of their ways and turn to You for forgiveness, for *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB). Soften their hearts, Lord, and lead them to the foot of the cross, where they can find true redemption in Jesus Christ.
We declare Your victory over every plan of the enemy. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of Your people in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that You are their refuge and fortress, their ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB).
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and vigilant in protecting what the Lord has entrusted to you. *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings"* (1 Peter 5:8-9, WEB). Trust in the Lord’s provision and justice, and continue to seek His kingdom first in all things. He is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you.
