Frail and weak

Beloved of All
Need His strength in this heat overcome by this intense heatwave that appears and feels 10-20 degree warmer due to the intense humidity like never before this elder body has succumb to difficult to breathe with also much itch rash on chest dr claims it psoriasis and order script for it but after a couple weeks have not received it yet. Jesus this all so wearing this minister in You body down. Please help

We hear your cry for strength and relief in this overwhelming heat, and we join you in lifting this burden before the Lord. The physical toll of extreme weather, especially on an aging body, is not something to endure alone, God sees your struggle and invites you to cast every care upon Him, for He cares deeply for you (1 Peter 5:7). The discomfort of labored breathing, the frustration of unrelieved itching, and the weariness of waiting for medical help are all things we bring before the throne of grace, where you may find mercy and help in your time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that You are the God who sustains the weary and renews the strength of those who wait on You (Isaiah 40:31). We ask You to be a shield and a refuge for this dear minister in Your body, whose frailty is known to You. Strengthen their limbs, ease their breath, and cool their body in the midst of this oppressive heat. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of weariness and infirmity that seeks to weigh them down, and we declare that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We ask You to intervene in the delay of their prescription, may it be resolved swiftly and may the treatment bring relief and restoration to their skin.

We also lift up the emotional and spiritual weight this dear one carries. Ministering to others while battling personal affliction is a heavy cross, but we know that Your grace is sufficient, and Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Remind them, Lord, that even in their frailty, You are their strength. Surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Provide them with moments of rest, refreshing, and the assurance that You are their ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We pray for divine intervention in their circumstances, whether it be through a miraculous touch of healing, the provision of relief through medical means, or the sending of help from others to ease their burden. Father, we ask that You would stir the hearts of those around them to offer practical support, whether it be a cool place to rest, assistance with errands, or simply a word of encouragement. Let them know they are not forgotten, and that their labor in You is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).

Above all, we pray that this trial would draw them closer to You. May they find solace in Your presence, strength in Your Word, and hope in Your promises. Renew their spirit, Lord, and let them experience the fullness of Your love and power in this season. We declare that this is not the end of their story, You are working all things together for their good, and Your plans for them are for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We hear how wearing this is, body, breath, and spirit, and we are sorry you are suffering through it. The relentless heat and that heavy, suffocating humidity are hard enough without carrying an itch that won't let you rest and a prescription that hasn't come. It makes total sense that your strength feels spent.

Behind what you wrote, we hear not just a body that's tired but a faithful minister who has poured himself out for others and now finds his own tank on empty. That is a lonely, humbling place, and we want you to know we are with you in it. No lectures, no platitudes, just steady, quiet respect for all you have given and for the name you are still lifting up even in this.

On the practical side: when a script goes missing for a couple of weeks, something may have slipped in the handoff between the doctor, the insurer, and the pharmacy. Could a family member, a friend from the church, or your doctor's office simply call the pharmacy and the insurer to track it down? Sometimes one short phone call unsticks the whole thing, and we'd love to see you get some physical relief. Nothing dramatic, just the kind of ordinary mercy that helps a body breathe a little easier.

In the meantime, we pray:

Lord Jesus, you know what it is to be worn down, to feel your body fail you, to face the press of real suffering. Look now on your servant. Give his lungs ease in this crushing humidity and calm his skin so he can rest. Move whatever obstacle has delayed his medicine, and surround him with people who will help with a phone call or a cool drink without waiting to be asked. Renew his inward spirit even as his outward body groans, and let him feel, deep in his bones, that you have not forgotten him. You are his strength when his own is gone. In your name we ask it, Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect, heal and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In Jesus name. Amen.

The body is indeed frail, and the heat a burden too heavy for our dust to bear alone. Yet it is in this very weakness that the strength of Christ is made perfect, for when we are weak, then are we strong in Him. You feel the wearing of the outward man, the breath failing, the rash a torment, and the relief of medicine withheld. These are not tokens of divine abandonment, but the furnace in which the Lord refines His ministers, that they may minister not in word only, but in the fellowship of His sufferings. He who allowed a thorn in the flesh to buffet His apostle knows how to sustain you, and His grace is sufficient.

The work to which you are called is no light thing; it demands the whole man, and when the man is pressed beyond measure, the excellency of the power is seen to be of God and not of us. Do not think it strange that the adversary and the weakness of the flesh should conspire to hinder you. The minister who knows no weariness may soon forget his dependence; you, being brought low, are in the very posture to receive fresh unction from the Holy One. Cease not to cry to Jesus; tell Him all your complaint, for He is touched with the feeling of your infirmities.

Remember also that the effectual fervent prayer of the church availeth much. We are lifting you before the throne, pleading that this trial may not overcome your faith, but that you may be delivered from the strife of tongues and the heaviness of the hour. The delay of the script is but another call to trust in the Lord alone, who healeth all our diseases.

Wait on the Lord, I entreat you; they that wait on Him shall renew their strength. Though the heathen rage and the elements oppress, the eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. Let not your heart be troubled; He that keepeth Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. Shortly this light affliction, which is but for a moment, shall work for you a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, and you shall mount up with wings as eagles, forgetting all your weariness.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is no small affliction when the body is pressed down by heat so intense that every breath becomes a labor, and a rash torments the skin with itching. You feel the weight of this frail tent, and the delay of the remedy only deepens the trial. Yet do not think these things have come upon you apart from the hand of Him who loves you. God Himself allows such seasons, not to destroy you, but to teach you where true strength lies. He said to Paul, when he begged for relief from his own thorn, "My grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness." Paul learned to take pleasure in infirmities, for when we are weak, then are we strong.

Consider what this means. You are a minister in Christ's body, and He sends you forth as a sheep among wolves. In that very sending, He knows that you will be invincible not by your own vigor, but by His power resting upon you. The heat, the rash, this heavy weariness, these are not signs of His absence but the schoolroom where you learn to cling to Him alone. Do not faint when you are rebuked by Him; it is His work, allowed for your profit, that you might be approved and right-minded. He benefits us often against our will and without our knowledge, drawing us away from childish trust in our own strength.

Remember, the sacrifice of Christ was offered once for all, with power to cleanse and sustain us forever. The repeated trials of this life are not proof that His grace lacks strength, but that we must continually return to Him who gives strength to the weary. Return now to your Father with confidence. He does not call your former weakness into question if you simply come back. Even in this affliction, give thanks, for both comfort and suffering come from His hand, and He works all things for your edification. The outward man decays, but the inward man is renewed day by day. Be of good courage; His grace will be enough for you, and you will find His strength made perfect in your very weakness.

The weight you are feeling right now is not hidden from the Lord. When the air itself feels like a heavy blanket and every breath becomes a chore, it is easy to think you are being crushed. But the Lord does not despise your frailty. He understands it intimately. He wore our flesh, and He knows its limits. The writer of Hebrews reminds us that our High Priest is touched with the feeling of our infirmities, because He was made like us in every way. So when you gasp and say, “Jesus, this is wearing me down,” you are not praying into a void. You are speaking to One who truly knows.

There is a deep truth that often gets twisted: our weakness is not a sign that God has abandoned us or that our faith has failed. The Apostle Paul came to the Corinthians in great physical weakness, in fear, and in trembling. He had been sick enough that he couldn’t even travel. And yet, it was right there, in that broken state, that the power of God was demonstrated most clearly. Paul learned to turn his thinking completely around. He stopped begging only for removal and started boasting in the very thing that made him so dependent, because God told him, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”

The delay in your prescription, the persistent rash, the sweltering heat sapping your energy, these are not punishments. They are the present realities of a body that, for now, is “planted in weakness.” Paul left a dear fellow worker, Trophimus, sick at Miletus. He didn’t do that because he lacked faith, but because healing in this life is not always the Lord’s immediate purpose. Sometimes His purpose is to show Himself strong in an entirely different way: by giving you the grace to endure, by teaching you that when you are at your lowest, you are not beyond His reach, but right in the center of His grip.

Do not let shame pile on top of your suffering. The enemy loves to whisper that your ailment is a sign of small faith or spiritual failure. It is a lie. Even Paul pleaded with the Lord three times for a thorn in his flesh to be removed, and the answer was not removal but the promise of power resting on him in the middle of it. God’s answer to you may well be, right now, not a sudden cool breeze or an immediate healing, but a fresh infusion of His strength, made perfect precisely within your labored breathing and weary limbs.

And when it feels like help will never come, like that prescription lost in the system, remember that we serve a God for whom delay is never denial. There is a mighty angel in Revelation who places one foot on the sea and one on the land and swears that there will be no more delay. The Lord’s timing is not our timing, but His purposes are sure. He knows your frame. He knows you are dust. Cry out to Him in your desperation. Let the prayer be, “Lord, I have no other place to turn. Help me.” It is in that very brokenness that you truly prevail with God, not because you are strong, but because you have flung yourself completely upon His mercy.

Jesus Himself was crucified through weakness, yet He lives by the power of God. In the same way, you are weak in Him now, but you will live with Him by that same power. Take your eyes off the heat and the itch for a moment and fix them there. His grace truly is sufficient. His power truly is made perfect in your cracking voice and tired frame. You can even learn, with Paul, to take a deep, paradoxical pleasure in this severe trial, because it strips away all reliance on yourself and lets the life of Christ be displayed in you. You are not alone. You are upheld.
