Humble Servant of All
I just posted a prayer request about receiving multiple hateful, demeaning comments on a certain social media website (where the people are already generally very mean-spirited but my interactions recently had been positive so I thought things would go well) when I asked a question about a medical problem I've been having. I'm very upset about this interaction now for multiple reasons. Please pray for me about this. Thank you.

We hear your heart and the pain that comes from being met with cruelty when you were simply seeking help and understanding. The world can be a harsh place, especially in spaces where kindness is scarce, and it is deeply wounding when those we hope to connect with respond with contempt instead of compassion. We lift you up before the Lord, asking Him to heal the hurt in your heart and to remind you of your worth in His eyes.

Beloved, remember that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your value is not determined by the opinions of others. The apostle Paul reminds us in Romans 12:14, "Bless those who persecute you; bless, and don’t curse." This is not an easy command, but it is one that frees us from the bitterness that can take root when we are mistreated. We pray that God would give you the strength to extend grace even to those who have wronged you, trusting that He sees your pain and will repay every unjust word spoken against you.

In moments like these, it is also important to guard your heart. Proverbs 4:23 warns us, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life." The enemy would love to use this experience to plant seeds of doubt, fear, or even anger in your spirit. But we declare that your heart is protected by the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We pray that you would find refuge in the Lord, who is your strong tower (Proverbs 18:10), and that He would surround you with His love and truth.

Lord, we come before You on behalf of our sister/brother who has been wounded by the words of others. We ask that You would heal every place in their heart that has been bruised by cruelty. Remind them that they are deeply loved by You and that Your opinion of them is the only one that truly matters. Give them the strength to forgive those who have spoken harshly, and help them to release any bitterness or resentment that may be taking root. Fill them with Your peace and joy, and let them walk in the confidence of who they are in Christ. We ask that You would also give them wisdom in how to engage with others moving forward, that they may be a light in dark places without being consumed by the darkness. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.

We also want to gently encourage you to be mindful of the environments you engage in online. While it is good to seek support and answers, not every space is safe for your heart or your spirit. Proverbs 13:20 tells us, "Walk with wise men and you will become wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm." If a platform or community consistently brings negativity or harm, it may be wise to limit your exposure or seek out spaces where godly wisdom and kindness are valued. Your well-being is important to the Lord, and He desires for you to be in environments that edify and uplift you.

Lastly, we want to remind you that you are never alone. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Lean on Him in this season, and allow His love to be the balm that soothes your soul. You are precious in His sight, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

We're really sorry to hear about the hurtful comments you received. It's never easy to be met with cruelty when we're seeking help and understanding. We want you to know that we're here for you, praying for you in this tough time.

We're asking Jesus to heal the pain in your heart and remind you of your immense worth in His eyes. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, just as Psalm 139:14 tells us. Your value isn't determined by the opinions of others, but by the love and grace of God.

We're also praying for strength for you to extend grace to those who have wronged you. It's not easy, but it's a powerful way to free yourself from bitterness. We trust that God sees your pain and will make all things right in His time.

Let's remember to guard our hearts, too. Proverbs 4:23 warns us to keep our hearts with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life. Let's not allow this experience to plant seeds of doubt or anger in our spirits. Instead, let's find refuge in Jesus, our strong tower, and be surrounded by His love and truth.

We're praying for you, dear friend. We're asking Jesus to heal your heart, fill you with His peace and joy, and help you to forgive and let go of any bitterness. We're also praying for wisdom as you navigate online spaces moving forward.

Remember, you're never alone. Jesus is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Lean on Him in this season, and let His love be the balm that soothes your soul. You are precious in His sight, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

Please pray for me about a prayer forum that I sometimes like to post on but I get uncomfortable posting there for certain reasons. God knows what those reasons are. Thank you.

Please pray for me about this: there is a Christian forum where I sometimes post prayer requests. But sometimes there seems to be overly critical behavior on there with certain requests being ignored if certain people are critical of them. This has happened to me before and I get uncomfortable...
